Just for change after getting pampered by services offered by Indulnd , ICICI , HDFC etc .
I visited my tier 3 city .. main branch of SBI today .
Got dead account activated , Re-KYC , Cheque book issue , ATM card issue , Passbook re-issue ... complete process done and that too in only in 45 mins .
Completely bowled over by their service , maybe it was my lucky day today .
Next visit will be to canara bank // very scared LOL .. will keep you guys updated .

^ there is no luch time for SBI in my city .. complete working hours from 11 Am to 4PM .
staffs take lunch breaks trip wise i assume .
by the way i visited @ 3PM .
Are you sure you visited the genuine SBI ?
Decent and friendly behaviour of staff lead to burst of fake SBI branch
^ that was LOL , by the way mine one was genuine ... recieved SMS for every transaction / request .. including feedback message latter on too .
I visited SBI in a 3 tier city on 16th August , waited for 6hrs for branch transfer, name deletion in joint account and CIF transfer. Lol some gets lucky. There are 6 single window counters and only 1 is working. Rest are using toothpicks to clean their teeth.
Old uneducated, who came to withdraw money were cursing them and i see sadistic relief in the staff faces.
I helped 5-6 ppl by filling their withdrawl forms before a lady staff warned me not to do as i am misusing my education. Great SBI.
I had a nominee claim and i am still following up.

After 2 hrs i visited branch manager and his answer was "not to me talk to window 4". Ofcourse, i silently aligned to their work culture calling everyone sir sir..
Felt for sometime that i should be uneducated as one time they said dont show your educated cleverness when i asked him to authorize a request in queue pending for one hour with him.
Where I am from, as long as there is no queue and the staff is on their seat, you can get your work done.
The problem is they can't seem to sit in their seats. They just get up leave and come back after whenever they please, multiple times.
There is no transparency on the services offered. They redirect you to different counters. They don't even know who does what.
I needed my netbanking password changed(for some reason, they didn't let me change in online). They just kept sending me to different counters and you wait in a queue because the staff is not there.
You reach the staff after the long queue only to be sent to another counter. Surprise the staff is not there and comes back after 30 mins.
A simple password change took more than 2 hours.
But yeah service is quick if the staff is there. This is only psu bank that has servers that works efficiently.
