Is this actually a pre approved limit enhancement offer or not..

VU+ for many to try this limit enhancement in SBI Card
for me
1st card shown request raised and will be processed by 24 Sep 2024 (but received failure email in 2mins)
2nd card didnt gave any request taken SMS
3rd Card is stuck with 10k limit so its not letting me enhance I guess (since i stripped its limit recently i think)

I want to close my uncle's SBI credit card in 2-3days. There is a CPP linked to this card.
On 31OCT - Annual renewal date - i will be charged for next year - using EMI mandate on the credit card (as per the above email)
QUESTIONS:
- Is it necessary to close the CPP first before close the SBI credit card?
- Or Is it sufficient to cancel the card -- and once the card is cancelled - Not to worry about cpp being charged on the card?
