SBI card for Amazon sale, worth it?
Amazon has collaborated with SBI card during the upcoming sale. Is it worth getting SBI card for this sale?
Plan to shop many things on Amazon in upcoming sale but I don't have SBI cc.
Should I apply now if you think I could get it before sale and which one would you suggest? I will apply today.
My cibil score last I checked was 807 and experian will also be above 800. Please guide. @bikidas2060 @kukdookoo @kartikxxx @quantum @HasdaChehra @tappukepapa

Card approved, limit showcase as 6,10,000, annual fees 499+gst and yearly 499.
After
filling all the details, got message of Cibil score was checked and
asked for vkyc or make payment of 1rs as verification from bank account. Did the vkyc, asked
for a pic, pan photo and kyc has been done.
Waiting for the card approval/details now.

Apply using sbi sprint official domain of sbi cards.
Easy to get one would be simply click/ bpcl octane.
Yes you will easily get it before sale.
At sprint it will show all eligible cards.
Refrain from getting sbi cashback card as it won't work on sales, although a good option.

The answer to your question is YES, but it is a little more complicated than that. Consider the following two scenarios.
1. You want to make a purchase worth 80,000, but the 10% SBI cashback has a capping of 2,000. So the usual 5% on Cashback SBI CC will give you 4,000, but just 2,000 with any other SBI CC.
2. For purchase worth 2,000, Cashback SBI CC would give 100 but since the 10% offer usually has a min spend criteria of min 5000, you won't get anything there.
So if you have Amazon ICICI CC, then you're covered for the scenarios where the 10% SBI offer is not applicable. And yes, cards like SimplyClick, SimplySave, BPCL Octane have higher chances of approval. You can get the SimplyClick effectively at ~₹90 since you'll get 500 back after paying the joining fee.
I see sbi cards collaborating a lot during sales.
BPCL normal Variant or Simply click for easy approvals. Apply via sprint, you can also take my referral, 500 Amazon gv for both. Official sbi referral not some third party. Rest your call.
Apply BPCL Octane. Highest chance of approval no income documents required. After 6 months downgrade to normal BPCL by calling customer care.
@Faug What do you mean by RuPay doesn’t work offline ? RuPay card work everywhere Visa/mastercard accepted offline in India.

Note Everyone - RuPay credit card is accept everywhere. Any shops who accept Visa/mastercard credit card, you can also swipe your RuPay credit card and pay.
RuPay Credit card on UPI is additional feature. By @Faug logic, Visa/mastercard credit card is not accept offline anywhere. So stop using visa/mastercard from today. 😜
Just kidding but RuPay have more acceptance location than visa/mastercard because you cant pay Visa/mastercard through UPI but you can pay through Card swipe and UPI both payment mode using RuPay credit card.
Doesn't work for me anywhere, no shops, no scan, most of the offline shops doesn't accept rupay credit card. I even tried paying doc fees through scanner and it's also failed. Family doc says he has no idea either.
I've indusbank rupay cc and tata neu infinity. Tried though payzapp, bhim upi, google pay, paytm etc. It simply doesn't work at all. I can show you 50+ failed transaction screenshots from medical shops, doc fees, local shops, malls, groceries, patanjali shops, everywhere its failed.
Works on online transaction only like Zomato, Flipkart etc.

So probably 3 years fees taken care of.
Lastly, if you feel at some point that it's not worth it, go for cancellation of the card, high chances SBI will waive off the year's fees for retention.

Which variant?
Stand in front of petrol pump whoever comes to refuel in cash you collect cash from them and instead swip your card. Just remembered card transaction should be between 500-4000 for most bank to get surcharge waiver.
Your application could not be processed as it does not meet our internal policy criteria.

A decade ago, the 10% discounts were upto 3000 INRs, Now they fell to 2000 or 1500 in most cases, so if someone has SBI CB or amazon icici no need for othr cards.
