Hey guys, does anyone faced the display green tint issue after the one ui 6.1 update? If so availed the free screen replacement from samsung? Device is purchased in USA, any idea we can avail the same in India? Customer care denies the screen replacement if purchased in other country, but this is not some warranty issue, its the corrective actions towards their unmitigated risk. Did anyone fought for this got the screen replacement?

Get it replaced in the USA then. As you were able to procure the device from there, you can manage this as well.

Got it via friend. And I think I have to explore option like ship it to him back and get it replaced and ship back to India. If possible...bcz they are quoting 22k for screen replacement here in India.

@abhaya789 - I got screen replaced on my Samsung Galaxy S9 for similar screen issue 5 years after the warranty period was over and almost for free (paid only GST). I'm a loyal Samsung customer and that helped.

All done by Samsung India post reaching out to them via email. Email address available on their website.

Apparently they are okay with screen replacement if purchased in India. But for phones brought abroad that's not the scenario unfortunately.

The India-purchased S22 Ultra at my home developed a green-tint after it overheated from a teenage niece's photo shooting session. The problem got somewhat managed for a couple of months by turning off the 120Hz / adaptive refresh rate and sticking to 60Hz. Luckily, Samsung came out a free screen replacement program and I managed to get mine for free -

The last date is long gone; so I do not know if they will entertain you with a free replacement.

Please do not argue with them trying to explain why your US bought phone is not covered under Indian warranty and that their software update broke the phone and etc. That was a risk you willingly took when you bought your phone in the US either because you got a better price in US or you were deputed/staying there for a while and couldn't wait to buy a new phone. Yes, Apple has global warranties but Apple also charges an Apple tax.
