- On February 18, 2022, the leaders of Donetsk and Lugansk separatist regions state they are evacuating residents to Russia.
- On February 19, 2022, Ukraine claims that two of its soldiers were killed in attacks on the frontline with the separatists backed by Russia. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky proposes to meet his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. Russia test-fires nuclear-capable missiles.
- On February 20, 2022, Belarus says that joint exercises comprising Russia and Belarus forces are being extended.
- On February 21, 2022, Russia recognised the independence of two separatist regions in eastern Ukraine after President Vladimir Putin signed decrees to recognise Ukraine’s regions of
- “Luhansk and Donetsk People’s Republics” as “independent”.
- The move escalated tensions in the region, making a possible Russian invasion of Ukraine imminent.
- Putin also ordered Russian soldiers into eastern Ukraine in what the Kremlin termed a “peacekeeping” mission in the Moscow-backed regions.

When India sent troops to east Pakistan (now Bangladesh) America and England sent nuclear warships and submarine to Indian Ocean then USSR (now russia) sent their warships to help India. America returned their warships.

Overall whats going on is wrong in my opinion.
problem is India tried hard to be a text book inspired socialist country favoring Marxist ideologies . It backfired terribly. After fall of USSR, communism was bound within Russia, China, North Korea, Vietnam etc. And after India’s assassination political view point has been considerably changed. Sometimes best practice is to wait, watch n pretend as if nothing has happened. Same happened in Afghanistan, same will happen in Ukraine crisis. Russia is not backing out anymore. Covid has changed world political dynamics for sure. Right now best measures ll be to tighten security at the border. If west remains silent on this matter n keep playing battle of words then China ll definitely try to attack Taiwan. Maybe Chinese people aren’t that stupid. But power makes people mad.

If Ukraine still had nuclear weapons I am sure Russia would have thought twice but they gave up all of them under Budapest Memorandum of 1994 in the influence of U.S., Great Britain and Russia.
So nuclear may sound bad but it’s a thing which is keeping many countries safe. Even Us, Uk are not sending their forces to Ukraine for same reasons.
