Which brand inverter Air conditioners can directly run on DC I have seen YouTube video where he tested his samsung 5 star Air conditioner on DC voltage for many weeks and demonstrated live online,
Nowadays many unknown brands are launching solar hybrid acs and some are selling chines inverter ACs as solar ac
They run directly on solar panels but warranty is main concern
Samsung 5 star inverter ac have only 1 year pcb warranty
Any other brand inverter ac works on DC current that would reduce cost inverter and AC can be run directly 4 solar panels just like solar ac

Mixed power has it's own consequences, sometimes not covered by warranty... Run a fan not an ac on solar, not still yet...
Actually inverter acs are already DC devices they convert 220v ac to 220v dc and then run the machine, and yes it's not mixed current, either you give ac current or dc current
Rectifier which is there to convert 220 ac current to 220v dc process dc current to device without converting so there should not be any problem inverter Air conditioner mechanism is entirely on DC current, while old age fixed air conditioners are obviously not move an inch if you supply them dc current due to their inductive nature for such appliances dc current works as short circuit, this new technology where working components are dc and their system itself providing only dc current by converting it from ac current,
I have atomberg 220v fan successfully runs on 180v DC I also tested LG inverter refrigerator and it was also working I also tested my laptop and printer that too worked perfectly without an issue, even in trains we get only 110v DC current, and most of the new air inverter conditioners work between 110v to 290v dc
If companies can make products which can run on solar it would be much easier by using dc technology, SOLAR air conditioners are already widely used in many countries and they are running on inverter compressor and bldc fans
In conclusion and inductive fixed speed air conditioner cannot run on DC power as it's and AC current only appliance and we need inverter to run this Air-conditioner through dc current
While inverter technology Air conditioners are actually purely DC appliances which are being run on AC current by using rectifier bridges hence giving dc current to dc appliances is not a problem they will work fine,
This air conditioner runs on direct solar current and one can use this AC without any stabilizer on 4x550 watt solar panels
Every inverter air conditioner have DC compressor only,
ac fans can be installed while most of the companies using BLDC fans in inverter AiCs
Some might be using ac current fans which will make these devices useless
But inverter ac which are using dc components are best
Like in below air conditioner
Compressor is BLDC, indoor Fan is BLDC, Outdoor fan is BLDC, Swing motor is DC, hence it's completely safe to run it in on DC current
Just curious:
Why can't we use Solar power via inverter (battery based) so that we can use ACs/Fans during day and night time too?
We can use but battery replacement cost is too much if someone wants to buy a solar based ac to run entirely on solar whole day then this thing can help but yeah using solar using battery less inverter to run high load in day time is far better as it will run every appliance
And here i thought solar only provides either 12v or 24v😝.
Good to know.
Following the topic
Solar panel never provides 12v or 24 volt
Solar panel voltage VOC 12v panels voltage is 20 to 21 volts
24 volt panel voltage is 45 to 50 voltage
and 48 volt solar panel voltage is 100 volts
If connected in series they add up voltage suppose 6 panels of 24 v 550 watts 13 amp rated connected in series then output would be 300 volt DC and current will remain same 13 amp
If connected in parallel voltage will remain 50 volts and amps would be 117
All bldc fans from Havells to atomberg run directly on 200v DC tested atomberg bldc pedestal fan even at 100 volt dc there is no difference in speed same speed output from 220 v ac 200v dc 100v dc almost nil current loss
One thing which is there in atomberg BLDC pedestal fan that it comes with rotating oscillator and without oscillator model is also available pedestal Fan runs smoothly on 100-200v dc but seems in oscillator they used ac motor this motor only works while connected to ac current
waking up this thread.
for a new house, is it worth asking the electrician to put a separate DC duct and at least have one fan in every room to have a dc wire termianated ( so that in future, when i get some free time i can connect a 12v dc to the fans (all are bldcs and most of them has the 12 v connector)
No, not at all recommended.
DC means Direct Current, very dangerous to play with. There is no chance of being saved in case of the mishappenings.
