Requesting: TV Buying Advice | Multiple Sizes/Types
Hello Dimer Friends,
I'm in the process of finalizing a few TV's for my new place; and wanted guidance/advice of knowledgeable friends on this forum.
What I'm looking to purchase in the next 1-2 weeks (BBD/GIF/Offline -- all are okay):
TV #1: A 75" TV for the Living Room | Budget: Upto INR 2 Lakhs
- 120 Hz + Refresh Rate
- VRR; Gaming Mode; HDMI 2.1 (on at least 2 ports)
- Usage would be 2-3 hours/day; more on the weekend
- Would have loved OLED on Mini-LED, but those are quite steep.
- Are brands like HiSense/TCL trustworthy when buying such expensive items?
My Initial thoughts: HiSense U7K; TCL C755 (both mini-LED); LG QNED88T (it's edge lit though) -- I would love if I can snag a Big 3 brand in that budget during sales (Sony, Samsung, LG).
TV #2: A 55" OLED TV for the Master Bedroom | Budget: Upto INR 1.3 Lakhs
- Looking at the BEST 55" OLED within that budget
- Standard OLED things - deep blacks, 120Hz Refresh rate, HDMI 2.1, etc etc.
- No known issues with that particular model (heard of green tinting with C4)
- Does Samsung OLED's not having Dolby Vision a deal breaker from a viewing pleasure standpoint?
My Initial thoughts: Samsung S90D; LG C3
TV #3: A 55" LED/QLED TV for Moms' Room | Budget: Upto INR 50 Thousand
- A reliable 55" LED/QLED TV
- 60 Hz Refresh Rate is fine; no gaming/high-end features needed.
- Easy to use/Simple interface
My Initial thoughts: Sony Bravia 2; LG UR7500
I'm open to non Top-3 big brands, if someone here can confirm that those brands are also equally good in terms of durability and service. The location is Delhi/NCR (Gurgaon to be more specific).
Thanks in advance!

Is it real qled tv? The 55 inch comes to 50k range and is it not better to go with Sony?
bro what your viewing distance buy size according to it
Please do kindly share suggestions, if any. Thank you.
Buy qled for 75inch with local array dimming zone, more the merrier. Ask for extended warranty from co itself not third party.
1. Sony
2. Samsung/Lg
Go with above sequence and make buying decision.
P.S. mehenga roye ek baar, sasta roye baar baar.
1.Sony/LG
2.LG
3.LG
Avoid other brands as service is dogshi* you'll end up wasting time fixing it.
Thank you all for your suggestions and advice.
Would have liked to own Sony (especially for the 75 incher), but either the pricing was too steep (Bravia 7,9, X90L) or the models not up to what I needed (Bravia 2,3).
I've gone ahead and booked the following:
- TV #1: LG QNED88T 75 inch (available for demo only at LG Best Shoppe outlets -- I did and quite liked it; audio could be better but that's alright as I'll anyway be using my soundbar with this.)
- TV #2: LG G4 55 inch (had to stretch my budget here) -- almost got the Samsung S90D, but G4 in-person is just a gorgeous TV!
- TV #3: LG UT8050 55 inch -- looked like a pretty good basic UHD/4K TV, especially when compared to Bravia 2 (price-wise).
All these are booked at Croma, and am still allowed to cancel/change in case a new/better deal comes in, over the net 10 days. So please keep suggesting and/or let me know if the current choice is good.
Bro can you share the prices you bought each of these for?

Alright, the moment of reckoning -- the BBD/GIF sales start tonight. Please let me know if you can offer any further suggestions for my requirements. Thank you so much, in advance.
Cheers!
All super rich dimers spotted in this thread...! ...JK, jokes apart.
OP or dimers in this thread, did you buy....is yes, pls post links and final price you got.
It will help our future purchases.
Still haven't bought anything. Croma has my 20% booking amount, which I should still be able to refund and/or buy a different product. I have recently learnt via other forums (more dedicated towards audio/video) that the best deals, especially on OLEDs and hi-end TVs, can be had from RD/Croma/Vijay a week or so before Diwali. Hence, delaying the purchase so that I can negotiate harder when they are hard-pressed to sell and clear inventory. #truedimer
I agree. If you are 'regular' at Vijay Sales, they will give you the best deal.
I did entire electronics/appliances shopping from Vijay Sales.
One suggestion, when you finalize the 75 inch OLED, do take a good look at Samsung Q80D.
Also, I would suggest, keeping manageability or seamless APP experience in mind, go for one brand, LG or Samsung.
If you are prepared to spend nearly 4L why go for a new/obscure brand just for the deals? Would it be worth it if some issues crop up a years down the road and you have to deal with their customer care centers. Better invest in a trusted brands that have established their presence even if it means spending a little extra just for peace of mind. Get the LGs that you have booked if that's the best price possible, be happy and dont ever think about 'what could I have saved if...' scenarios. Just my 2 cents worth 👍🏼
Of course, no disrespect here to anyone who's had a great experience with these Tier-II brands (congrats, you have probably won the panel lottery).
For point#3, do check Panasonic 55inch MX800 or MX850 series. Im also looking at MX800 series specifically. Offline stores are giving 3 years complete warranty, which gives peace of mind atleast..
For Panasonic MX800 model, no one in my area has availability of it let alone demo unit. Offline stores are asking 1k as non refundable token money just to bring the TV on their showroom for demo !!!
@r3d-d3v1l you can consider it as well if size is not a issue. It has 2yrs warranty..
For TV #3, I can suggest Vu Masterpiece QLED or Vu GloLED.
I'm having Vu Masterpiece QLED 4K TV (2024, 65") and it's a good one amongst non-premium brands. 3 GB RAM, Google TV OS, powerful sound and decent brightness. It has it's own set of drawbacks but the price it comes at, I can vouch for it.
