Can you explain exactly local train route
From which station to which station
How to reached LTT station by local train
1. From Western line go to Bandra. Take an auto from there.
2. If you want to do it really cheap (less than Rs 15) and aren't carrying luggage, take the CSMT train from the Western line (assuming you are staying up to Goregaon), get down at Wadala, take the local to Kurla and walk for 10 mins from Kurla to LTT.
I want to take a train, can you please guide from which station I can take a train
For eg. Taking train from Churgegate CST to Kurla
Or
BC to kurla
Which is more convenient
● from which point in western line.
● besides lowest costs point, how much luggage per person is there.
It would have helped if you clarified these upfront.
(Now also you can, update the post.)
If you are on Borivali mainline platforms, then to take a local train towards Bandra, you might have to change platforms.
(It is also possible though that you would not have to climb any stairs or use the lift.)
If there are kids or family involved, then better not think of saving costs by taking cheapest options.
If you are alone, if you do not have multiple bags, if you have previously AT-LEAST ONCE travelled alone within Bombay..
AND if you have margin of 70-80 minutes MINIMUM.. after reaching LTT
only then will it help to take the cheapest options.
Suppose you reach Borivali (from Gujarat) at 1200
and you need to be at LTT by 14:30 or the LTT train is at 02:30
then please🙇🏻 do not think of multi-modal options. જો કટ ટુ કટ ટાઈમ હોય તો હું તમને વિનંતી કરું છું કે તમે ટ્રેનમાંથી ટ્રેનમાં ઓટોમાં કૂદવાનું ટાળો/avoid using multiple options please.
If you can manage to take the luggage out, till the bus stop, then taking a bus from Borivali to LTT or till 500-600 metres of the LTT gate.. is possible.

Bus ride might be cheap, but unless you board the bus at its starting point, even the bus might be crowded so better to be mentally prepared.
Still if you want to use multi-mode transport or if ladies, kids are there, then from Borivali till about Bandra.. take a slow local train (it might be less crowded).
(Avoid leaving senior citizen ladies alone.. in the ladies coach of the local train.)
Then after getting out of the Bandra station area ON THE east side
one would need to take a bus or an autorickshaw to LTT.
If you are reaching Borivali either in the morning hours (upto 8am-9am) or in the evening hours when people go back from office.. travelling by local train, with luggage me an overwhelming experience fir a new person.
Well I'm aware of local train & due travel rarely but to go to LTT is new for me & I really wanna know instead asking to my relatives
TIA
LTT is a railway terminus and not a local railway station (Similar to Bandra local vs bandra terminus)
Nearest local station to LTT is Kurla which is in central line. LTT is 1.5-2km from Kurla so better take auto from Kurla as others have suggested
To reach Kurla, you have to switch to central line at Dadar if you are coming from weatern line (e.g Borivali, bandra, etc.).
then you can catch any fast/slow local to e.g Thane, kalyan, karjat, etc. all of these will have a Kurla stop
Which station in WL?
reach Dadar & then LTT by local will be faster & ideal route.
