Replacement battery for laptop

These replacement laptop batteries will work, but don’t expect the same backup or long lasting as the original ones. You can buy them, but remember: you get what you pay for.

My guess is that the lithium-ion cells inside the battery packs are old, recycled ones, as it seems logically impossible to supply fresh cells at these prices.

I purchased 2 replacement Fugen branded batteries from Amazon for my Dell and Toshiba laptops.

The battery for the Toshiba stopped working completely after being left unused for a few months; it won’t recharge after being allowed to drain completely.

On the other hand, the battery for the Dell laptop, if I remember correctly, outlived the laptop itself.

I had bought 2 Lapcare batteries several years ago. Both lasted 18 months before battery backup fell to less than 30 mins or so. When new they did deliver longer backup than the original. It was an extremely power-hungry and inefficient laptop barely lasting 1.5 hours on a full charge even when left completely idle. The original battery lasted 4.5 years before needing to be replaced. It costed 3x as much (Rs 4500 vs 1500 odd) but  the Lapcare batteries could be bought at hefty discounts 30-50% thanks to ebay deals).

Buy this one bit expensive{You can get better deals in Nehru Place} but worth it.

Lapcare is good. I have personally used it. I use my laptop for 18 hrs a day. I charge it and then remove the charger when full, it used to last for about 5~6 hrs when new. It lasted for 1.5 years and costed around Rs1200 for Hp 245 G5 PC. Bought from local shop as they will provide warranty shipment.

Lapcare provides 1 year warranty as well. I had bought two batteries. So I got my one of battery changed as well from the seller (it was not dead but its backup was reduced to around 2 hrs). I told the seller that it goes dead below 50% and he sent it to the company and they sent new battery for just Rs50 shipping charge.

You can go for Lapcare without doubt. Its worth it.

Edit: Don't go for original ones as they are usually fake products unless you order from the site because companies do not usually sell these products. And it will be double costly too. Lapcare will give you almost 80~90% of the same backup.
