My guess is that the lithium-ion cells inside the battery packs are old, recycled ones, as it seems logically impossible to supply fresh cells at these prices.
I purchased 2 replacement Fugen branded batteries from Amazon for my Dell and Toshiba laptops.
The battery for the Toshiba stopped working completely after being left unused for a few months; it won’t recharge after being allowed to drain completely.
On the other hand, the battery for the Dell laptop, if I remember correctly, outlived the laptop itself.
