Repeated Poor Delivery Experiences with Amazon – Seeking Advice and Similar Experiences
Dear Dimers,
I've been facing a series of troubling delivery issues with Amazon and wanted to share my experiences to see if anyone else has faced similar problems and to seek advice on how to better handle these situations.
INCIDENT 1:
Around 9 days ago, I ordered a bass guitar bag from Amazon for Rs. 350.
The delivery person left my order on the road on [03-May-2023] (outside the compound gate). It was picked up by a bystander and delivered to our neighbour's home. We eventually received it from someone at our neighbour's house.
I reported this to Amazon's customer service. The representative informed me that a complaint had been filed and that I would receive a callback within 24 hours. However, I did not receive any calls. After thirty hours, I contacted customer service again to inquire about the status of my previous complaint. The representative re-asked everything and then transferred the call to the Escalation Department [Aswin S G-Escalation].
I spoke with the higher authority [Aswin S G-Escalation] for over 45 minutes. He dismissed my grievance, continuing with, "The delivery team said the parcel was handed to the customer."
As a result, I have cancelled all my other orders and asked for a refund.
INCIDENT 2:
Approximately a year and a half ago, I encountered another delivery issue, I ordered four Park Avenue soaps. The same delivery agent threw the parcel at our door, from the ground floor to the first floor. We opened the door after hearing a loud thud (Sound) and saw the parcel lying near the door. Looking down, we saw the delivery agent quickly take his two-wheeler and drive away.
I complained about this incident to customer care, but no action was taken.
INCIDENT 3:
Two years ago, I ordered a drone, which I never physically received. However, the delivery status was changed to 'Delivered.' After seven days of back-and-forth with customer service, I finally received a refund.
Not once has any product been properly delivered to me or anyone in our household by this delivery agent. We are on the first floor, yet he routinely places the product on the wall of the compound and leaves.
I haven't bought much from Amazon in the last few years because of these issues.
I'm looking for tips on how to deal with these situations. Does anyone have similar experiences or advice?

Contact local ATS Branch and let their manager suspend that guy.

The delivery guy hates you for some reason.
Just change the account and see what happens ..
And just abuse the amazon customer care. Then only they will react . Lodge a complaint on consumer forum regarding damaged done by Amazon.
Fake complaint will resolve all the problems.

many a times I also faced same issue where delivery guys simply leave the parcel at the main gate without bothering if customer is at home or not and on top of that they don't take any call in case a delivery instruction needs to be given.
so i decided to teach a lesson to a Delivery guy :
- I ordered 7 packets of 4kg surf with COD. I knew that Delivery guy will definitely deliver first to my address as he will not like carry 30kg load the whole day.
- first i did not pick his call for 1 hour, he kept delivering the other parcels near my society.
- when he came back to my home i denied the order.
- he became furious & said agr tumko lena hi ni tha to order hi kyu kia.
- I smiled and said aapse mulakat krni thi... vese to aap order main gate pe fek ke chle jaate ho.
- deep down i felt his mistake, eversince then he has always dilvered all my parcels directly to me.
Note : I know its not a very good thing, but I had no option at that time.
It sounds like you found a creative way to address the issue. While it may not be the ideal solution, sometimes it takes unconventional actions to gain attention. It's good to hear that the delivery behaviour improved afterward. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Ordering cod is best option OR choose ur friends address for a instance
Today received order, many items got combined in a single box.
I item only cardboard box present no product.
Usually Amazon doesn't ask for OTP, this guy deliberately asked, provided it before getting the product into my hand.
I didn't read the instructions on the box, but it was written don't accept the box is seal is broken, but the Amazon sticker was intact. I thought but the damage at the bottom the product has fell of, but when I saw the bottom, there was another read sticker(seal) which was missing/tampered on the top. Even the black Amazon paper tape is tampered and cleanly repatched with new tape. Raised a request, but they're asking me to wait for 5 days to resolve the issue.
I used to get scared of Flipkart till today, but their open box delivery is awesome, guy is also friendly. But Amazon getting scared to order and also always new delivery guyz.
What should I do if they don't resolve my problem? TIA
Keep following up with Amazon, and if the problem persists, consider contacting customer service again or escalating the situation. It is critical to ensure that your complaints are addressed appropriately
If it is particular to you, just change the address to your Neighbour and see if the delivery person delivers it & place the with COD for few times. If still repeats escalates to amazon customer care

I am of the opinion that Amazon's last mile delivery service stands out as one of the few, if not the only, consistently punctual and reliable services in our country.
Every time I've ordered from Amazon, I've received top-notch, 5-star last mile delivery service.
The delivery personnel in my area have remained the same for the past 3 to 5 years, except for occasional holidays. They appear genuinely happy with their work at Amazon Delivery; I've never detected any dissatisfaction on their faces.
Overall, for me the amazon's last mile delivery has been of high standard.
I would rate my experience with Amazon last mile delivery as 5 stars.

Delivery experience differ from area to area and the delivery guy's character matters a lot.
Some have great experience from Amazon and terrible from Myntra or Flipkart and vice versa.
