Open box delivery, be vigilant and check carefully each part for dents then only share OTP.

For Amazon, all large appliances deliveries will have OTPs required. You are supposed to give this OTP only after checking if everything is good (Physical damage / missing items etc), otherwise just don't share the otp, and the delivery persons will understand. 

Also, most large appliances come factory packed, so the packaging is usually really sturdy and is self-sufficient to protect the contents inside. 

Nothing will happen to because these drivers know how to handles on those roads.

factory packaging is made for our special roads so don't worry and its open box delivery so u can take ur time check it then share the otp or refuse the whole delivery  

Had a recent experience of damaged fridge from flipkart. Got a dent on door and balancing issue. Flipkart asked for pictures. They approved return after 5-6 days. But then the game started by delhivery. Due to outskirts area, nobody would come to pick it up. They won't send another unless the old one gets back to their warehouse. They won't issue refund either, only replacement. So it took 14 days more to get it picked up after 5-6 calls to flipkart and delhivery every effin day. Total harassment. Just think, what if I had gotten damaged one second time also? 

Shift to City.

Return it, not sure about Flipkart but Amazon does it with no questions asked.

Experience: I ordered Godrej fridge for my maid who lives in a slum area, bad road etc, while delivering the Fridge, the box got hit by the door angle or something, box was opened and saw the dent, the delivery guys packed it back and took it. It was ordered on ncmi, Amazon refunded the full amount but ICICI charged emi +200+gst, I never bothered to call ICICI for cancellation, ordered same refrigerator at full price and was delivered safely. My maid is still paying the emi.

If it's damaged, you can refuse to accept the order at the time of delivery & ask for a replacement right away.

Instead of taking that risk, why not go to near by town and buy ? during Diwali more or less the price will be same in B&M as well right?
