Reaching there - Experience which still needs improvement

Amazon.in is a very recent player In India’s online retail segment. I have ordered a few products from them a thermometer and a kids watch. And most notably I have bought a set of books at a very very low price indeed – Entire set of the Game of the Thrones series by George R R Martin at little more than 1000 bucks.

All products were dispatched on the day ordered, packing is extremely good and tracking is excellent. I have received all products within 2 days of ordering. The gift packing done for the books was too good, not a crease on the packing.
They have recently started premium logistics service at Rs. 99 ensuring next day delivery…So they are delaying the regular service a bit. I had that experience last week for the Barbie kids watch…

Good points:
1) Improving rapidly to the benchmark they have set in the US, but they will still take a long time to reach there. After all this is still India…
2) Quick shipment, original items and good tracking
3) Ease of payments, COD also available for many items

Improvement points:
1) Need to offer more variety. though they are getting there…
