Introduction of Delegated Payments via UPI
Delegated payment will let a primary user allow a secondary user to make UPI transactions up to a limit set by the primary user from the linked bank account
aimed at increasing digital trqnsaction penetration & non tech savvy to reap benifits of UPI
Through this facility, a primary customer can authorise another individual, a secondary user, to carry out transactions through the former’s bank account to a specified limit.
Such transactions can be executed by the secondary user without a separate bank account linked to UPI
Basically two family users can use One acc to pay without the need for bank acc for every individual ....ofcourse with preset limit
this i a new feature on upi
would this enable more fraud ??
hope to discuss the pros and cons with fellow dimers
thank you in advance

Oh oh this is a good move:)
recently i was planning to open seperate bank account for father for UPI purpose, but if this implemented then I dont need to open bank account for my father
1) what are the tax implications??? (guess primary holder will have the tax implications always i guess) similar to addon credit card
2) fraud i doubt it will happen its just addon UPI kinda thing
3) when this new feature will be implemented???
1.This should be capped at low value transactions well within some couple of thousands just like Upi lite & since these arent going to be huge value tax implications arent major consideration
but yeah taxation is for primary
VU+ for the post for many to get aware of this news
It will be a good move. But i feel for this the secondary user (having another mobile no) must be a joint holder of that bank account. This would make no chance of fraud.
Hope there are some checks to whom the account can be delegated otherwise many people will get scammed
