Reserve Bank of India has shifted 102 tonnes of gold from the vaults of Bank of England to secure locations back home.
This is the second time in last 6 months that the central bank shipped Gold from vaults in London due to rising geopolitical tensions.
Since 2022, some 214 tonnes of the precious metal has been transferred to the country as growing global concerns made the RBI and the government jittery.
Anything big is cooking which we are not aware of?

Then i opened the thread and realised, that those are our own assets.
Honestly, forget our state treasury, but even for one's personal, retail assets
I would be more at ease if my personal assets were within my country, than in some godforsaken place run by and built by murderers, invaders, plunderers for whom the lives of others never mattered.
No, I do not think anything "big is cooking".
Sometimes, things are done symbolically. As in, to send a message too.
(One of our neighbours in a previous city, always preferred to have tea made by her elder daughter in law, than even the tea that she herself made. But when at times she got upset about something which the elder daughter-in-law did or failed to do.. then she would ask the younger daughter-in-law or anyone else to get her cuppa.
Obviously those who knew her, understood. It is not like she suddenly started liking the tea made by others more, than the tea made by her elder daughter-in-law.)
It is just my assessment of things but I do not foresee any such escalation in the near to medium future..
. where the Suez canal has a major impact on operations.
Obviously this (102 tonne) payload would be peanuts https://www.airbridgecargo.com/en/page/37/boeing-747-8f and can easily be escorted by RAF, IAF combat aircraft on a single, non-stop flight, but I was mentioning shipping routes in general.
Strait of Hormuz or skirmishes there does not really impact us that much, but if Panama canal or Suez canal have even a backlog of a couple of hours, then it is a mess.
And obviously if someone intentionally uses Suez as a bargaining chip or an arm-twisting chip (as HAS happened in the past) or if there is damage to its safe operations.. then yes, Europe will stare at skyrocketing crude and other good's prices (from increased shipping costs alone).
International shipping does not really relish going ALL the way around Africa.
Theoretically then.. world trade, prices of goods everywhere would be a mess.
Thus, nobody worth their weight on the world stage want anything adverse to happen to Suez.
(Which.. obviously IS a good incentive for miscreants to do something to make conditions ripe for the disruption of traffic via the Suez.)
The funniest part is, now they deliver lectures on human rights
Mere ko bhi aisa secretly items ship karna hai from england to india. @ RBI how you did ?
Money Heist 3 will be based on stealing this gold
I hope measures have been taken by the Indian administrative department to double-check the purity of the gold that is now being returned, ensuring it is on par with what was handed over for safekeeping. Indian gold is known for its high quality and purity.
Considering that the mentioned countries looted invaluable wealth from our nation not too long ago, their systems cannot be trusted with anything valuable.
eu going to shit due to illegal immigration 😝
