RBI asks Bank of Baroda to suspend further customer onboarding on 'bob World' mobile app with immediate effect.
Earlier it was reported that bank officials linked bank accounts to unrelated mobile numbers to achieve targets.
The news report noted that in March 2022 the Bank of Baroda officials from the Bhopal zone were given a target of onboarding at least 150 existing bank customers for the bank’s new app, “bob World", which was launched six months before.
Good move. Crooked agents are everywhere
We once met an sbi agent at airport last year & he applied for my wifes vistara card which initially was rejected for xyz reason.
Now, after every 60days someone applied for different sbi card in my wife's name & it was rejected. I mailed sbi after 2nd incident & got no positive reason. On 4th try I confronted agent with severe actions & the cycle stopped.
Banks should take severe actions against such agents but after few incidents I realized bank is the one protecting them crazy
