I have question about best way to consume isabgol (Psyllium Husk). I read conflicting information online. I tried to have it put in warm water but it quickly become thick and I don't like to consume that.
Can we consume powder directly and drink lots of water on top of it? This is definitely doable for me.

Better switch to home made alternatives.
The way i mostly saw it taken was by adding it to a glass of warm milk, prior to retiring for the day.. but like by 19:30 or so. (For folks who hit the bed by 21"30 / 2200).
Even in water.. one can swirl it.. till the fibers soak in some water and therefore are easier to gulp within water or else can be strained thereafter and gulped by taking in one spoonful at a time (of the soaked stuff).
By the way we also saw some super seniors.. who were really averse to anything being taken to the stage of 'habit forming' (being dependent on it too much).
Such seniors opined that if the bowel movements are not as regular and smooth then there could be other (perhaps larger) issues and they felt that addressing those was far more important (as opposed to relying on pills or other things).
@rak007 -- Do try these shots. They are made of 100% natural ingredients.
dahi ka sath sabsa best ha
It further causes more constipation, don't ever try constipated people's
2nd method warm water ka sath bas
Yes doable. Or mix with cold water only. Not hot
My mother always used to give it to me from childhood by mixing it with some sweet(peda) or sugar as it is getting sticky in mouth if taken alone.
It depends on requirement.
If requirement is to use as a laxative then u should consume it with warm water/milk before bed.
Best way is to mix and make it semi fluid and drink it.
It is recommended coz it is in a powder form so in case u put it mouth and then drink water (doable) it may get enter into ur air passage which may cause problems.
Same I heard,
isabgol + cold water/dahi = stop diarrhea.
Isabgol + warm water/milk (mostly at night) = relieve constipation.
Rest many ayurvedic medication like haritaki are good for relief from constipation but should be taken for smaller duration. Isabgol people are taking for longer durations as well and it seems to have many benefits:
Constiptn? Find the reasn behind it, eating husk or laxatives is not for long term.
