I used cred and other apps to make credit card payments before bill generation.
Can we do same using billdesk portals or airtel/jiofin app now?

Yes it is possible with JioFinance and Airtel but the entire bill has to be paid first and then each transaction should be less than the generated (paid) bill.
Eg: You have a bill of 10K. You have to pay total 10K bill first (either in single or multiple transactions). Then when you want to pay extra, the transaction cannot exceed 10k.
Also remember that some apps/cc bbps would allow only one extra payment. If you try more, it gets refunded.

sometime transaction is sucess but not reflecting to account, auto refund to source after 4 days
