Hi Friends

My son is in 12th and preparing for NEET, though he is not that sharp, I am worried because don't want to spend crores of rupees for his MBBS.

Are there any good online tutorials/circles that I can enroll for him? or any other point that you would like to suggest?

thanks in advance.

Does HE want to write NEET and get into MBBS or do you want him to?

Often there is no career counseling - either in school or with parents and there is just a herd mentality to write either JEE or NEET and get into one of the two silos. There are plenty of career options these days and unlike the past they are widely 'accepted' by society and are well paying as well.

You say he is not that sharp - his skills must be in other fields and outshine people where his heart lies. I recommend you have a heart to heart discussion about what career he wants to embark on instead of spending lakhs and crores. No use regretting later in life about his career choices.

Good luck 👍🏼

Couldn't agree more.

Choosing a career should give a ray of hope, motivation and enthusiasm in oneself and not doubts, fear and sadness in one's mind.

Neet 2 times dropper here.

If you really want that your son to become doctor, believe me, in India it can't be possible anymore nowaday.. you have to sent him another country like, Russia, Uzbekistan etc ...

One of my friend he is so brilliant in studies took 3 attempts, after he joined the college he seas the senerio that some came to college to bribe 60L( some topper gives his paper or somehow managed Dq quota.. there were around 30% student came from those route.. someone just spent more than 6 years just to qualify for any govt college..

The cut offs are way too much. The competition is insane. Private fees is huge. Salary after MBBS is meagre, if at all jobs will be available by then. The competition for NEET PG is getting even more insane.

IMO, not worth it. Neither the money spent in pvt college, nor the years wasted dropping for govt seats, nor the stressful years spent during the actual course. None of itis worth it.

Ask him to pursue anything else in which he is interested or better at.
