Porting from VI to Airtel

just go to the airtel store and tell them you want to port. they will tell you to send a text from your number to port, and you just need to make an airtel recharge. you dont need to pay anything to anyone for porting, just recharge for airtel. I hope Vi doesnt annoy you much with their "tussi jaa rahe ho? tussi na jao!" calls😛

I ported vi to jio, 2 months back.

Jio has a option to do online only where the deliver free sim at your home. But won't give first month recharge of ₹239 for free.

Then I contacted those outside stalls, and they ported it for me with ₹239 recharge free. But charged me ₹50 for it.

Any idea if Eid 17th will be counted as holiday ??  Read somewhere that there are 19 holidays excluding sundays in porting period

Generally, roadside vendors do it for free.

In my area, they offer a 1-month free recharge and free headphones or a tiffin box.

How is VI's internet speed from 12 AM to 6 AM?

I would suggest to get it done online and be cognisant about the documents. Roadside people might use the document to get more than 1 sim to sell it for phone call scams.
