India is the most populated country in the world.
There are both advantages & disadvantages of this massive population.
However, I reckon the disadvantages outweigh the advantages.

as far as i seen some states have good handling of population and some states in India dont (because of respective state policies and their campaign regarding child control)

Population explosion is the root cause of most of the problems, including pollution, deforestation, overcrowding, inflation, starvation, unemployment, water crisis, fewer seats available on trains, colleges, and universities & lengthier queues everywhere.
btw population is also the reason other world countries are targeting india AS GOOD COUNTRY TO DO BUSINESS:)
good economist knows that population is wealth IF HANDLED GOOD
if not handled right ITS THE PATH TO RUIN
its not population in itself is wrong or right... its how you handle it (Its like knife on hands of a doctor or a thief)
UCC is not related to population, its related to normalizing economic growth in a normalized way WHICH WILL NEVER BE POSSIBLE IN A DEMOCRACY COUNTRY of freedom with different economic growth
So hard to implement that law in India where different state have different economic growth, simple answer it can't be implemented

In the next few decades after population peaking out , it will eventually decline.
With fertility rate getting down 1.5 or below , but the impact seems far , maybe our next to next generation witness

Anyone who have problem with population and worried about it should eliminate himself and leave space for others take initiative yourself and others will follow India needs more of such patri ots
There should not be control on birth but life should be limited to 30 years
Let the new comers come in this world enjoy and vacat earth after 30's age,

Native Hindu(including Sikh, Jain and Buddhist) population is under control from decades with the help of Govt campaign of two child policy.
