POCO security app malfunction

I had enabled app lock in poco android phone for a few apps like upi apps etc. Earlier it used to pop-up fingerprint unlock screen.
BUT, Now the it only displays pattern unlock!
What's more PITA is that even upon entering the correct pattern, the app lock rejecting it as wrong password pattern!!
Fed up with this, tried many things to solve this, clearing data, restarting app/phone.
No option to install security app too!!
It's asking to do factory reset which will wipe off all my data (125gb!!) in phone..
Taking backup is a tedious task as few gbs of important data hidden in that whole 125gb,so have to backup all 125gb data!!! Which is very cumbersome!.
Any workaround to solve this issue pls reply 🙏

Tried all possibilities. Nothing seems to work!
Or disable the AppLock function itself from phone settings
There's no such option! To disable app lock, the only way I know is by launching security app then going into app lock option, but it again popping pattern unlocker & not fingerprint unlock screen!
