a few videos i saw on youtube are recommending american micornic , but i came to realize its a gurugram based company and they have been lying about having their products designed by American Micronic Instruments, Inc., DE, USA. not even sure this company exists - i literally cant find it on google

leaning heavy towards going with tried and tested philips  - the cheaper 4700~  NA120/00 variant ; the more popular HD9252/90 is low key too expensive for me being only 4.1lt capacity @ 8k

also considering xiaomi's newly launched XIAOMI MAF08 (6lt) one - should be around 6k with bank discount, feels like a fair deal. not sure about the quality or after sales or if this thing will even last me a good few years

there are also brands like agaro , inalsa with fairly good ratings on amazon

anyone who recently bought an air fryer wanna chime in and help a brother out pls

(sorry if this was a long read)

i suggest see which brand's service center is near to you and proceed for the air fryer. a good air fryer is worthless if it does not work in future and nearest service center is more than 5 hours commute.

I have only had experience with Philips service, as I own their speaker set.
When I had a problem with it some time back, they sent me a local technician at my house within 24 hours of my complaint.
all the other brands agaro, inalsa, xiaomi , etc. i am not sure how i would go amount claiming warranty

to each their own.
i literally only ever eat foods that can be made easily in an air fryer
my diet has been mostly chicken and potatoes as of late 😭

Buy Philips or Inalsa. Quality of Xiaomi is terrible & spare parts are hard to get.

inalsa offers too different varirants of the same product.
one with analog dials , another with a touch screen.
though an led screen looks modern, i am low key paranoid about the longevity of the touch panel .
also not sure if 4.1 liter would be enough to roast a whole entire chicken or should i spend a little more and get 6.5L one

I don't think air fryer is helpful for indians because our food requires cooking by oil. Thats why air fryers are no so famous here. Many people buy it because of brand marketing but end up not using it after 1st use. Still check out OTG available in market

Isn't it useful for fried items like poori, samosas, pakoras , I mean anything which we fry usually in refined pr mustard oil?

I am also willing to buy on someone's recommendation

Brother, What a nice way you have asked this query !

I liked it  (query) as Crisp clear and oil free

To your query , Most of the air fryer buyers have not used it

more than once a year.

Reasons, Not that great taste , not that easy to clean ,  ease of handling as

it is always at the farthest corner of the shelf , and again the machine is not

Indian at heart.

I have a prestige fryer 10 yrs old

yes, it should be  good ,as it is still working

But not much to say as it is seldom used.

Would suggest Philips,Prestige as two reliable brands here

@chris.cool25379 -- Recently bought Philips 6.2 Liter Airfryer (NA231/00) and all I can say is its worth. Yes you got to use trial and error method to get to perfection meaning close to usual oil deep frying taste and you got to adjust a bit keeping health in mind.

So far

  • French Fries / Potato Wedges -- Excellent results. Better then deep fry.
  • Burger Patty / Aloo Tikki -- Excellent results. Same as shallow fry.
  • Various Tikka's -- Great
  • Sandwiches' -- Great
  • Medu Wada -- Good. Taste was acceptable. Looked 'dry'.
  • Onion Pakoda -- Good. Taste was acceptable. Looked 'dry'.

Yet to explore more however I'm confident that its a good investment if you are looking forward to cut down on cooking oil.

i know i would be getting my moneys worth from this for sure!
low key i dont get people who say that this thing is going to collect dust
chieken , roasted potatoes is like 90% of what i have been eating as of late, so i just know the air fryer would be working overtime in my household XD
