Please solve Queries around "Flipkart Open box" Delivery

Got samsung f34 mobile last year under Open box delivery policy.

1. Yes – Open box delivery ensures you don’t receive a defective product or something entirely different.

2. No charges.

3. Generally the pricier items – High-value products are more likely to have open box delivery.

4. Mostly products vulnerable to scams – Items that are more likely to be tampered with or switched out by the seller may require open box delivery. (Groceries are delivered under OBD policy)

5. Yes, but you can request otherwise – Delivery agents are usually instructed to open the package in front of you, but you can request to handle it yourself if preferred. Make sure you capture a video of the open box delivery process of expensive/delicate items

1. 99% yes, but I also received one phone without OBD
2. No
3. Invalid question, OBD is generally applicable for electronics and grocery.

5. Yes, you can, but if some problem arises then you can't return it anymore. So it is absolutely not recommended.

I've received atleast 25-30 OBD deliveries in last one year, you can ask any tiny bit of details to me! 😃

Even books, clothes are delivered with open box delivery.

Delivery guy will open the box but if you know delivery person very well than you can yourself open the box. 

But for electronics and Mobile better record the open box delivery video. 

I ordered few items which showed OBD during the payment but delivery guy said these were not OBD and denied opening the box. I shared the OTP and got the items, luckily no complaint.

Is there anything to show the delivery boy that the order was subjected to OBD in case he denies?

2. There is no choice, whatever you are paying already covers OBD if applicable.

3. No such thing. I got open box delivery even for Rs.1000 product.

4. No such thing but it won't be there for obvious stuff like grocery.

5. Depends on delivery guy. In OBD major responsibility is on delivery person so he prefer to handle things on his own.

P.S. If it is OBD then delivery person cannot mark the order as delivered without uploading at least few pics of unboxed product because only after that he gets the screen to enter the otp.

2. Not directly for OBD but shitkart adds lame "Secured Packaging Fee" which dunb consumers happily pay. That's like 49 for cheaper phones, 99 for expensive ones. So a cheaper phone gets less secured packaging than an expensive one. It's nothing in the end, just the same cheap cardboard.
3. Compulsary for all, because it reduces scamkart's liability & makes returns harder citing "You already checked the product with OBD"
