Just like this year, there was a strong sentiment in 2019 too among people that NDA would be coming into power, the results for 2019 General election was declared on 23 May and on that day, there was a lot of volatility but NIFTY closed with a loss of 0.69% wrt to the lat day closing. But NIFTY opened at a gain of 1.39% and went upto to a gain of 2.58%.

So, going by the 2019 result day trend, I think it would be a good idea to book profits on 4th june.

Selling will start from 3rd BOD or 1st EOD. With positive outcome on 4th (Around 375-400), Mkt will rise but, will close flat on 4th.

For any other outcome, more profit booking will come on 4th.

If you are a long term investor and don't want to book profit, try to hedge as much as you can.

Otherwise, book profit and save your capital. But, keep in mind, in case of favorable outcome, you will never able to reenter at the same price.
