Hi Friends,
My Dad passed away 10+ years back, recently while shifting house I found some physical shares on his name ( SBI, TORRENT POWER, etc)
Is there a way to transfer them to my Demat account. Please help.

Contact RTA of respective companies and discuss matter with them. Only they can help.
Rta information will be available at investors section of official website of company
Go to some offline broker, i.e. Stock Holding, Sharekhan, IIFL, etc.
Tell them the scenario, they will help you out with the process.
There will also lots of dividend, bonus, split of share, etc. Everything need to be taken care.
Do consider the total value of shares before action . 4 aane ki murgi 12 aane ka masala na ho .
Saying so because if the number of shares are less also monetary value considering efforts it may take ,
I think you directly need to contact the company that issued the shares and ask them to update your name in their records.
Then only you can start the procedure to dematerialize them.
For that you might need
1.Death certificate
2.Succession certificate
3. If you are not the sole heir,
you should produce some kind of affidavit from the other living heirs(your mother and siblings) saying they consent to you having the shares and that they won't stake a claim in the future.
The company will change the shares to your name. Then you can proceed with dematerialization process to get them credited to your demat
