I bought midea side by side refrigerator 1.5 years ago thinking refrigerator would last atleast 10 years with no maintenance. So did not purchase extended warranty. It stopped working in 1.5 years. Called cc and got paid visit. Company person told its pcb is gone n gas needs refilling and asked for rs 15500. I enquired locally and dealers told better get it fixed by them as they will nullify your compressor warranty. Seeing so mych amount i found one person who was ready to fix pcb and since it was inverter refrigerator not much option there. On scanning he found pcb working fine but compressor was not working. I called company back and asked them to send another person who is experienced and mentioned last guy i didnot find trustworthy. Another person came and he asked me if some one came earlier, he was also from same 3rd party. I told him and he scanned again and found compressor not working and told pcb is fine, compressor needs to be replaced and will be done by tomorrow. It took 10 days foe them tonarrange compressor, but i would highlight even company representative are not trustworthy these days and will try to get more n more money out of you. So be aware !!!!

I would like to inform all to avoid these inverter things. Specially in washing machine and Refrigerator. They save literally nothing in electricity and costs bomb when repair is needed. Any local mechanic can repair a non inverter thing but once PCB of inverter thing is damaged forget about it.
For AC also if your daily avg usage is > 6 hours then only go for inverter models.
Non INVERTER AC/Fridge/Washing machine can last for 10-15-20years easily w/o repair.

PCB of my Samsung inverter type refrigerator was not working properly.. You can diagnose it with blinking lights over the pcb in case it fails..Cost of original PCB with Samsung Service centre was less than 1 k..Compresor fail is very rare..

Happening with me as well with IFB washing machine. Service people are looters. Every now and then pcb/ sensors got failed. And replacing charges 1500 rupees. IFB microwave touch keys were stopped working without use. IFB Products are shit. Avoid buying.

Every company now a days uses third party for services, and these third party technicians are pathetic. They just know how to sell product. They are more like sales guy rather then being a technician.

Once I asked them that I want to replace all filters , including the faulty solenoid valve cost ?
He calculated & gave 12k cost but discount 1k extra & no service charges.
I was bursting with laughter inside 🤣🤣🤣
Because the Whole machine cost was 8499 & got it at 7899 with bank discount in sale 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Similar thing happened with me for LG LED TV service...
So one fine day I heard a short circuit kinda sound from the tv and so I turned it off for safety, but it didn't turn on again & made same sound everytime I tried to. Original LG warranty was already over but I had additional 3year 2year OneAssist warranty.
But I had zero trust on OneAssist so I called up LG official service (thinking that if it can be resolved in 1000-2000, better to call official service & get genuine parts) and the LG guy, after checking, informed me that the power board is gone. Now here comes the more interesting part. I asked what was the probability that display is also gone or the motherboard is gone. He said... wait for it... first we will replace power board and then check next for motherboard and then display, because motherboard cannot be checked if it is not getting power.
This felt stupid to me, so I asked why not check motherboard & display first by using some test/sample power board you might have at your service center? That would help narrow down which part actually needs repair. He said power boards are different for each model (which is a lie, I already knew that) and 5500 will be for charges for the power board including labour etc.
This amount was anyway above my 2k limit, so I instantly called up OneAssist, the guy came next day and said there is nothing wrong with power board, and the motherboard is actually gone. LG guy had already quoted ~14k for motherboard, so I gave TV to OneAssist for repair. They tested it again at their service center and confirmed me same day that power board was fine & motherboard needs to be replaced, and according to them, they ordered original motherboard for my TV model from LG through their OEM channel (now I'm not sure that means genuine or just compatible local part), but they mentioned motherboards for all models are not available in local market hence have to be procured from brand only. Anyway, TV was ready in 3 days, and now working fine since last 1.25 years.
Had I not taken that extended warranty, I would have never called OneAssist and relied only on LG official service. And those jackasses would have billed me ~20k for power board + 14k for mother board, which even they would have known eventually after replacing power board unnecessarily.
Moral of the story: Now a days you can't trust any such service, especially authorized service. Better to always have 2nd opinion.

Actually they get commission on every sale so they are even ready to sell washing machine parts stating that it will fix your TV somehow.

Even Bluestar Guy Also Took 1200rs + 600 Service Charge Just For Changing Capacitor In 1 Minute ( I Believe Capacitor Costs 200 to 300rs )
We Asked Invoice , Received Invoice From Service Centre Via Email And Shocked. They Mentioned Outdoor Coil Stopped Working , Choking Action Cleaned. Never Mentioned A Capacitor.

We took Service from the Nobroker and he did an inspection, changed the capacitor and did AC service for just 730 Rs.
