Like other apps, they too are creating multiple UPI IDs for a user so that the non-primary IDs can be used in case of any failure on the primary IDs. You don't have to do anything, all this is taken care of automatically in the background.

The problem with new UPI IDs is they carry the phone number. If we opt for new IDs we lose the existing non- number id
