Free Cancellation feature enables users to avail full refund at the time of cancellation of their bus, trains, flight booking, by just paying a small fee at the time of booking the ticket, on Paytm.
The fee varies depending upon the ticket price, and is as low as Rs.9 for a train ticket and Rs.149 for a flight ticket.
For air travel, where airlines can typically charge around Rs.3000 as cancellation penalty, the FREE Cancellation feature offers a great value to travelers, giving them the flexibility to change their travel plans anytime without the fear of high cancellation charges.
To opt for the feature, just look for the FREE Cancellation option while booking your ticket on Paytm app/website. The fee to be paid for availing the FREE Cancellation feature will get automatically added to your total payment amount.

Free Cancellation on Trains- Terms and Conditions:
The offering is available only on selected train tickets booked on Paytm.
The company will reimburse the ticket amount for trips that are cancelled through Paytm no less than 12 hours before the scheduled departure of train from the departure station as per the ticket booked.
Ticket Price: Rs. 500 ; Booking Time: 12th Oct 2017 10:00am ; Departure Time of train from departure station : 20th Oct 2017 6:00pm
Ticket Cancellation before 6 am on 20th Oct 2017: User Refund = Rs. 500
Ticket Cancellation after 6 am on 20th oct 2017: User Refund = As per IRCTC’s cancellation policy
The company will not be liable to reimburse any other cost incurred by the beneficiary apart from the forfeited portion of the ticket amount on Paytm

Free Cancellation on flight booking- Terms and Conditions:
The offering is available only on selected flights booked on Paytm.
The company will reimburse the ticket amount for trips that are canceled through Paytm no less than 3 hours before the scheduled departure time of flight. Sample case below.
Ticket Price: Rs. 3500 ; Booking Time: 10th Nov 2017 10:00 am ; Departure Time: 20th Nov 2017 8:00 pm
Ticket Cancellation before 2 pm on 20th Nov 2017: User Refund = Rs. 3500
Ticket Cancellation after 2 pm on 20th Nov 2017: User Refund = As per flight operator’s cancellation policy
The company will not be liable to reimburse any other cost incurred by the beneficiary due to this cancellation apart from the prepaid, forfeited portion of the booking amount on Paytm.
In case of cancellation, only ticket price will be refunded. Convenience fee and the amount paid for Free Cancellation will not be refunded

Free Cancellation on bus bookings – Terms and Conditions:
The Insurance coverage will only be applicable for the Bus travel booked through Paytm.
The company will reimburse non-refundable prepaid payments, for trips that are cancelled through Paytm no less than 6 hours before the departure of bus. Sample case below.
Ticket Price: Rs. 500 ; Booking Time: 16th Feb 2017 10:00am ; Departure Time: 20th Feb 2017 6:00pm
Ticket Cancellation before 12 noon on 20th Feb 2017: User Refund = Rs. 500
Ticket Cancellation after 12 noon on 20th Feb 2017: User Refund = As per bus operator’s cancellation policy
Insurance claim is not available on partial cancellation of tickets booked in a single order. For e.g. if you have bought 2 tickets in a single order and added the insurance cover, you would need to cancel both the tickets to avail the insurance claim.
The company will not be liable to reimburse any other cost incurred by the insured due to this cancellation apart from the prepaid, forfeited portion of the booking amount on Paytm. Charges paid for this insurance would also be non-refundable.
The claim amount shall be directly credited to the insured’s Paytm Wallet
