I am planning to buy a 15 lakh car soon. I don't want to take loan on it, as I have the cash ready. I have Bank of Baroda Eterna, Snapdeal, HDFC Regalia gold, Amex gold card. Dealers usually charge 2% on credit card payment. Is there a way to benefit from the cards, or am I better off paying using account transfer only?

I have read on DD that some dealers will let go the 2% surcharge if you bargain hard enough.
Check if any of these cards have good milestone benefits also do verify dealer mcc before transaction
Use premium cards like, axis atlas, Magnus, infinia for this purchase , you will save more than 35k by using this.
Is this due to base reward being more than 2% or something else
Get amex platinum travel,if u don't have already and pay 4 lakh with it..
window shop & visit dealer as if u have no interest in buying & hard bargain.
once they know u are eager then end of story.
go with a model u dont want & then reach ur model that u cant buy except if dealer allows cc
You can check my thread .I bought brezza for 14 lakh without any mdr charges. you have to negotiate. I payed through 3 cards as my max limit was around 9 lakh in diners /neu. .got neu coins at 1.5%. they had sbi pos where diners failed.
