Pan card correction with Initials

I have a unique issue where my surname is mentioned with only initial along with my name on Aadhar card and other proofs. It’s something like this N.V.Xyz.

However, on my Pan card only my name is mentioned and those initials are missing. I didn’t face any problem till now but recently facing lot of issues with Pan card during KYC verifications.

I tried to get it corrected with a Pan card dealer but he says it’s very very tough to get initials mentioned on Pan card and mentioning my full name on Pan card would not work as it would be still a mismatch with Aadhar card.

Iam not sure what to do. Please let me know if you have any solutions for this.

First and foremost, you can control how the name should appear on your PAN card.

With that mentioned, is your surname mentioned in initials or in details in the records against your PAN? In any case, you can correct using Annexure-A. Once you fill the details, you need to get attested by those set of people mentioned on the document.

I vaguely remember, if one need to give request online to change the same, and send all the documents. I remember giving request online, pay fee, and send all the documents to NSDL.

Once you get the updated pan card, you can use it as proof and correct rest of the documents like aadhaar, passport etc.

Also be aware of differences betweeen first/middle/last names, and fill appropriately
