SBI, Axis, PNB, AU, HDFC, BoB, Union bank, Syndicate
Out of these banks which one is best FOR WOMEN based on following requirements :
1) complete online account opening without branch visit
2) higher interest rest
3) low charges/fees
4) Rupay platinum debit card
5) Passbook is must
Note : tried to open in AU but it showed error that name in aadhar is single name. So first add surname/second name in aadhaar ! Though this is ridiculous. How can a person forcefully add surname in aadhaar if all his/her documents has single name only !
If any solution for this error then also tell.

Though this is ridiculous. How can a person forcefully add surname in aadhaar if all his/her documents has single name only !
You can update address and add a surname in Aadhar by visiting the update centre and filling form, having it signed and stamped by the relevant authority. Once that is done, follow it up with change of name and address on PAN card based on aadhar. Make an affidavit stating you changed your name and kept surname of your father/mother/husband /wife, whatever suits you.
Make/change/update KYC of bank accounts with new aadhar and pan and update all new documents accordingly (passport, driving licence, voter ID, ration card, insurance policies, gas connection, passbook, mutual funds, ppf Epf, nps, pension funds etc.)
Slow and steady wins the race.
Had to do it for my wife. Addition of surname as she had only first name. Now she keeps forgetting she has a surname to write on all documents.
all this to just open a bank account via digital kyc ?
I don't think its worth it.
She has all her documents with only first name. Never faced any problem in offline process. She had once opened account in axis. That account got deactivated due to non usage for a long time.
Sadly, one would suffer with only firstname registered in docs... that stage isn't set yet in this country...
