If it was for electric two-wheelers in general l, then that statement is way off the mark.
Lithium batteries have seen near zero innovation in over three decades since they were first mass produced.
(Lithium-ion, Lithium polymer are still not that far apart from the basic things).
But even then, I personally have come across people who are using even assembled (unbranded) batteries powered two-wheelers that have lasted many years.
Solid state batteries will take some time to become affordable, since those are not yet picked up by enough mainstream companies.
But ir ia only a matter of time.
I am not talking about Chinese delivery agents (where it is obviously cheaper), but even here in India, the playoff between the upfront costs, the fuel savings are sufficient for delivery service to have EVs, as opposed to fossil fuels.
