Ok, Gov insisting on staying at home what about our dues?

Hi Guys, I have a garment retail shop in Mumbai, and have to pay hefty rent for the same, also I have an ongoing Bank loan to be paid on 3 of every month. There is no business since past few days and my EMI date is not too far, I am left with no option. Was wondering what banks are upto? How small businesses would pay their dues due to this current crisis? I read some UK News of banks going easy on customer amid corona virus breakout. Really Worried. Your thoughts please.

This is India. Even if you do not die by the virus, you will die due to poor economic condition.

Govt. insisting but people not obeying, at least my town market is fully open & nearby villagers are shopping as if its Diwali. They are paying no heed to Corona but feeling concerned over World Ending prediction on April 29th 😂🤣

Bro.. Come on. Tell me honestly. What’s your problem with people doing a bit of clapping ? Every country is doing it (showing appreciation for frontline fighters like medicos, police etc). One way or other. It is to show solidarity and reassuring that we are ALL in this together regardless of your political views caste, creed, gender, status, age. Rather than having a pessimistic view all the time, have a little optimism, it won’t kill you.

Well, ideally all landlords (business or residential) should let go of the rent for number of lockdown days and reduce the remaining by at least 50% because business is thin. This would be showing true solidarity and acting human. But we prefer charging 4 times even for necessities such as veges and food items.
Govt. (or RBI) should also pass an order to all banks that one (or more as the case is in future) EMIs be deferred until next month with zero penalty. However, our govt never wakes up until a calamity strikes.

Doctors haven’t received masks yet.
Forget ventilators and other stuff

Basic medicines (Anti-Malaria medicine which probably works and antibiotics) are getting out of stock everywhere. Wait and watch demonetization level of planning by the government.

Thanks for tagging me.

I am hoping like hell there will be Financial package announced like in the west for all sorts of people and not just industries. Hopefully deferred EMI payment for 4 or 6 months minimum. Even I have EMIs CC bills to pay. Stuck at home for now. Though my work allows me to WFH not sure what are the future implications.. For eg. some US banks apparently had issues because of their back offices being closed in India. This will be a black swan moment. Brace for reverse globalisation, economic stress, unemployment, etc. Tough times ahead pensive pensive pensive

@flawlessking call your bank/email them about the issue and request a relaxation for a month (for now). If you previous payment history has been fine do mention about it and you might actually find them to be kind enough to relax the payment schedule. No harm in giving it a try.

@flawlessking garment retail shop, then you definitely already in profit of crores.isn’t it? Since it’s an unavoidable situation,This month, you definitely need to pay from your savings.i don’t think neither banks nor landlord will give you any relaxations unless govt pass any strict orders.

Pls don’t be judgemental bro, I have already mentioned that I have left with no option, and I am a small time retailer not earning in crores not even in lakhs. I wanted to know what measures Indian gov is taking and what other people are thinking who are in the same situation.

One more advise, if your emi is going out of your salary account through auto debit. Then change the salary account immediately if possible.  Do not care about bloody cibil score or any other actions by banks  etc.

Out FM is useless,, She is not announcing anything, Should have at least ordered financial institute/banks to go easy on the customers,, i have my home loan EMIs due on next April.. this month i have paid but cant say about future. Should have at least give relaxation till the issue gets normal

RBI should have announced rate cuts by now.
Fin Ministry is too relaxed about the current situation.
India was already in the brink of economic crisis and corona is surely going to push us deep into that recession stinkhole.

I advise to all admins to remove these fucking government brokers/ chamchas until the corona situation is over. This platform is being used to spread their nonsense for long time now, at least in these dire times ask these people to just STFU and stick to scientific contents only. Ghanti, thali, clapping, god etc. related nonsense should be removed at once and users should be warned/ suspended. Requesting all others to report these type of nonsensical BS. At least be practical until the situation is dealt with, then go back to your usual state which nobody gives a fuck about.

Why are some people just salty confused like abusing people because of their beliefs. Is Desidime fiefdom of a select few that others cant voice out their opinions? If they do then you ask for ban ? H.O.L.Y F.U.C.K … Why are there so much hate and intolerance lately ? Are there no liberals in DD ? @bumblefoot @Nigel @admin @anthrax.ut @cm4444 @Priyanka

Can’t you 2-3 people (I don’t know who they are but you definitely would know) who are interested in proving your points open a thread in political section and put forth your views? This is a genuine thread with a genuine problem and there might be 100s of them on this very forum looking for some insights or info they might not know. All good info will be drowned in the sea of your fights.

Can you or the people who are commenting for/against your views were able to provide one single good info that would help the OPs dilemma/problem? (sorry but after a couple of good suggestions I lost track of any proper comments)

Sure you are entitled for your opinion and the others to theirs. But we don’t need yours or those people’s opinions if it is not related to what the thread is meant for.

Please take the PM route or the political section for your off the subject discussions as it is only creating more salt in good threads.

guys its an open forum, everyone’s views are welcome. But we will not tolerate anyone abusing eachother for their own views. Its better to have a healthy discussion rather than fighting over something.

The views should strictly adhere to scientific basis. Like that’s the minimum common sense right? Furthermore, if one’s begging for abusing by constantly supporting/ advocating utter crap, then he/ she should be abused. There’s no point in being a pseudo polite with sugar coated language, it’s moronic.

PS- Didn’t notice this was moved to political. It’s better now. This is where all the unscientific and stupid discussions should take place, by people alike. Please continue with the thali and ghanti discussions now, as we normal people don’t visit this section even by mistake.

IIT Delhi developed a cheap testing kit. Pune Institute validated it and found it to be effective. But it can not be used by Indians.
Why? Because as per Govt notification only US FDA approved kits can be used in India and right now, US FDA is not accepting any foreign formula/kit for testing. So the IIT kit can not get US FDA approval and Indians can not benefit from it.
Only one unknown Indian Company from Gujarat has the manufacturing licence for US FDA approved kit. So it holds complete monopoly right now. And then pvt clinics have been approved to conduct the test for Rs.5000. Obliviously a major part of this money will go to that Gujarat company.
And you are expected financial package from the Govt? Jai ho.

Researchers at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi have developed a test kit that could slash the cost of diagnosing COVID-19.

The test kit, developed at the Kusuma School of Biological Sciences, has been successful at the laboratory stage, and is now at the clinical trial stage at the National Institute of Virology (NIV) in Pune.

…………………..

another news -

The National Institute of Virology (NIV) is expected to give its go-ahead for domestic COVID-19 testing kits this week, allowing Indian manufacturers to step in and ensure there is no shortage.

The NIV, which falls under the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), is currently examining potential diagnostic kits manufactured by several Indian companies. Once they are validated by the NIV, their manufacture can begin.

You are saying you had to close the shop as Govt forced you to.

I wonder even if you were allowed to keep shop open, any customer would have came.

Actually they might come (customers) if you keep them open
They fined couple of stores today morning…in my neighborhood
One grocery store guy was saying…“we are serving people risking ourselves and then you fine us”
Guess they didn’t follow the customer limit at a time inside the store (Neither the buyers nor the store owners had a problem)

I’ll stay out of verbal wars today. But hope banks are directed to reduce the stress at such pandemic conditions.
