No warranty for Bosch products purchased online

I have purchased a Bosch 600 RE drilling machine kit from Flipkart and at the time of purchase the site was showing 6 months warranty. Drilling machine stopped working within warranty period, but Bosch service centre refused to provide warranty for the product purchased online. So I reached out to FlipKart, but they were also not providing any support stating that now they don’t provide warranty for the product. They have updated the site as well now and Unfortunately I don’t even have the screen shot for proof as I didn’t expect it from Flipkart. I have learned the hard way that we don’t really get any warranty for most of the products purchased online. So always check the invoice and if the warranty is not mentioned in it, make sure to take a screenshot as a proof. Even if we have it, I really don’t think we are going to get any support from these guys. So I have decided not to buy products online which we might require warranty support.

I was planning to buy a VU tv from Flipkart, but because of this pathetic experience I have dropped the plan. In one way, I am thankful to snapdeal and flipkart, because of the two back to back dreadful experiences, my online shopping rate has drastically come down.
