No invoice warranty claim - Laptop

A few days ago, I sought advice on buying a ThinkPad Lenovo laptop here. I made the purchase yesterday. Unfortunately, the seller has misplaced the bill and doesn't even have a soft copy. Upon buying, I checked the sticker with the serial number stuck at the bottom, and in the system as well; it matched. I went to the official Lenovo website for a warranty check, and it showed a 41-month premier warranty. The seller seemed legit, and the laptop's condition was immaculate, so I went ahead with the deal.

Now, my query is whether I can claim warranty in case anything goes wrong with no receipt to produce?

Don't worry, no physical invoice needed. Warranty is linked with your laptop's serial number.

Although some parts may have different validity for warranty, like battery & charger may have maximum 1yr or 6months of Warranty

You can install Lenovo Vantage app from Windows Store, it will show Laptop's warranty details & Battery's warranty details in Power settings

Thanks for the information bro. Yes, have already installed the vantage app and it shows warranty period for both. 36 months onsite and 1 year carry in for laptop. For the battery it shows 3 years!! Don't know if that is to be true..

If you go to the Lenovo service centre's, they should most likely not need the invoice if the warranty already shows as active.

If they are asking you to activate the warranty with an invoice, that could be a different tricky situation.

He has Premium Care warranty activated on his laptop. It provides On Site/ In home service. No need to visit Service Centre

Seller can't provide duplicate gst bill? Offline shop and new product?

I asked for the same but he said I will get the warranty and shouldn't worry, hence wanted to double confirm.

I the seller is using any type of Account / invoicing software, he should be able to produce soft copy of invoice any time.
