you need to pay 18% gst on processing fee of 199. So, Rs. 35.82 tax

Ok so its just on processing only not on product interest

You will pay processing fee = 200+18% = 236

& GST on interest = 18% of 900 = 162.

In total = 236 + 162 = 398.

Basically whatever shown on the e-commerce sites + (processing fee) + (processing fee*0.18) + (interest that was given as discount upfront*0.18)

You purchase product of 50k with emi where 5k interest on it given as discount then u have to pay

50k + 199 + 199*0.18 + 5k*0.18

But for some banks you cancel your emi after purchase to get away with these charges. There is no issue doing this if you don't do it regularly like once in a 6 month. You can search threads on dd for the process.

The processing fee + gst on that processing fee.

The interest(900 in the case above) will be split into 3 and charged to your credit card every month.

Gst will be charged on the interest every month as well.

Basically it's processing fee + gst on processing fees + gst on interest.
