Nirbhaya’s parents say won’t vote next year, slam government for inaction
The judgment has come, but justice continues to elude them. And Nirbhaya’s parents want to get the message across to those in power. They have decided not to cast their votes for any political party in next year’s general elections, citing the tiring pace of justice that was promised to them exactly a year ago.
The Supreme Court had upheld the death penalty to the convicts in the case, saying that their brutal, barbaric and demonical conduct shook the conscience of humanity and that they did not deserve leniency.
