On Monday, a 21-year-old student named Nikita Tomar was shot dead in full public view by two men outside the Aggarwal college in Ballabgarh, Faridabad. A day before, she had filed an FIR accusing tausif trying to force her to convert to Islam.
According to the FIR filed by the victim on 25th October, 2020, the accused tausif who had introduced himself as Rahul to the girl was continuously harassing her from July 25, 2020, but she did not reveal this it to her parents. However, when the accused did not abstain from hounding her, she decided to confront him on August 11.
When she went to meet tausif, he allegedly offered her a soft drink laced with sedatives after which she started feeling dizzy. The accused then pushed her in a white car, took off her clothes and photographed her. The victim had alleged that tausif then started using those nude pictures and video to blackmail her. He threatened to leak the pictures on the internet if she did not convert to islam.
The victim had further stated in the FIR that on September 11, the accused who was until now posing to be a Hindu named Rahul, revealed to her that he was actually a Muslim and his name was tausif. He expressed his urge to marry her, to which the victim had firmly refused.
I am acknowledging the brutality of Islamic extremism, and things written in a 2000 year old book, but the crime has taken place in republic of India.
The culprit is arrested. Strict penal actions must be taken against him, and against any accomplice of him. Religious angle still has not been proved yet. So, I would like to request people to exercise control over their emotions. The girl won’t get justice by doing it.
I read about judgement of a lot of crimes. Crimes of passion are extremely common.
I am praying for the peaceful passage of the victim’s soul to the afterlife. Rest in peace.
The powerful are all the same, the police, the administration are so fearful of putting their hand on any politician or his family.
And in this case, there is full equality, no discrimination on basis of caste, religion, anything.
The ruling party saves the opposition, and the opposition saves them when they come in power.
India is doomed unless political cleansing is done
Sad for the girl and thousands of other such common people

Now I am expecting the same level of secularism which we witnessed during discussion of a Hindu festival two days before yesterday.🙏
I dunno what you guys had discussed before but these things i’ve been seeing them for decades (Religion gets replaced by caste and FIR by denial)
The thing is.. no one really wants to understand the real problem, some shit just wants to use someone’e death/grief for their own benefit/propaganda (saddest thing)
This is year’s old case of stalking/harassment (Prev FIR was filed in 2018)
// The copies of FIRs filed in this case are in possession of Zee News. The earlier one filed on August 2, 2018, clearly states that Tausif used to harass Nikita, along with the charges of kidnapping //
Not sure if this is true but according to some other media articles, the accused confessed to killing her because she was getting ready to marry someone else (Sounds familiar?)
Just few days back similar incident happened in Vijayawada..while the local media continuously provided coverage for the incident the mainstream media just like every time never bothered because both the victim & accused belong to the same religion

The one common mistake every immature teenager does is.. seeking love/companionship as soon as they get their admission in colleges (girls/boys) and then blindly trust/love someone without even knowing who/what they are & some preferring to share Nudes which later becomes a tool for harassment/blackmail (Majority of the Twitter/Facebook relationships*)
Everyone does understand the reality at some point of time and wants an out of relationship but they mess up big time when they decide to move on
FIR only says part of the story though just like the vijayawada’s victim family version . Can’t really seem to understand the reason for confrontation a month/two back when the accused was allegedly harassing the victim for the past two years.
Whatever it is, its high time parents put more efforts in raising their kids and the school boards needs to get rid of some unnecessary useless things and make morals a part of it (Something like.. "If someone says a NO..its a “NO”, especially when its a woman be it a stranger/gf/wife"
These are crimes of excessive obsession like you see in many movies/shows (Ref: Mirzapur). I really wish that our crime laws change to such extent that one punishment scares the shit out of anyone who has/had similar intentions
