1) deals i think you have to use their mobile app, for instant notification
2) for other things you have to just participate more in this forum and you will enjoy it, for trade .. etc

Welcome to DD bro! In order to find deals that are suitable for you, you should first select categories that you are interested in like groceries, electronics, apparels etc. There are several deals posted regularly so keep on checking and bookmark your favourite groups. For example if you want to get a refrigerator deal, bookmark the refrigerator group.
The next thing you can do is use the Deal alert. You can use keywords like iphone 15, whirlpool washing machine etc whenever a deal gets posted you will get alerts in your DM which is very useful.Coming to trading, you can sell your GVs against another GV. Usually the one with higher karma takes the payment first. Paytm GV means UPI transfer 
Be cautious while trading with high value. You will see "Got scammed by fellow dimers during trading" kind of posts occasionally but don't worry, there are many genuine/kind hearted/lovely dimers here. They are the reason why I love and trust DD. Last but not the least, always give karma to other dimers. KG++

On the homepage, any easy way to scroll through deals based on a specific product category?
Like if one wants to gift someone a watch
or looking for a domestic use safe
then any readyreckoner type way?
Also any section of curated deals with standardised layout?
Here, deals are posted by so many random users and each presents it in a format that they can or they feel okay with.
I tried finding if some curated deals are posted or mentioned by site people anywhere, so that those have a nearly identical format, but I did not find any such section.
While looking for (scrolling through) general section is otherwise fine
but especially in the mad-rush days of sale.. sometimes I also saw even good offers being mentioned with just the link.
(Like just the name and a link. Then one has to figure out on their own if any 'buy more save more' is there or if any specific payment methods or cards are giving best price.)

But just sharing observation.
In other places there usually is slightly easier flow of things as the deals get displayed in a set format and the site people handpick or curate.

Bro why u pretending to be deal newbie
you mean my profile logo?? i really dont know how to fix this profile stuffs in DD without using mobile app, SADLY many features are present only in DD mobile app (I heard), which i am not gonna use, as i enjoy DD website
apart from this hmm pretending ?? lol i hardly use deals anywhere:) not only here in DD, i am used to SEARCH DEALS ONLY after i fixed a product in my mind:) I NEVER BUY BASED ON DEALS -> this is the First step to begin a good accounting and financial thing
because my ideology hmmm let me explain then you will understand:)
1) I buy stuffs even at double the cost "if and when" I need it
2) dont buy anything EVEN IF OFFERED FOR FREE , because it will take up space in your home and dust piles up and renting space cost piles up:)
based on these mottos i purchase stuffs, I RARELY DO DEALS:) i never buy stuffs for the SAKE OF DEALS
hehe so deal newbie is fine in my opinion:) hehe
