do yo have external hdd enclosure? what is your laptop model number and can you share the laptop internal pic where you attached?
New SSD is not visible after few minutes after turning on.
hi,
I bought new SATA SSD (WD Blue SA510 SATA 1TB-WDS100T3B0A) for my Dell G3 3590 laptop.
There is extra space available to SATA SSD in the laptop so I easily attached it.
1st full day it worked properly and I copied 500gb data in it. but after that, when I turn my laptop On, the drive disappears after 10-15min. It is also not visible in Computer Managerment.
I tried re-attachging it.
what could be the issue? any hardware expert?

My laptop is Dell G3 3590 with i7-9th GEN and Geforce GTX. (bought from Australia with relative)
Try cleaning with brush the terminal and reattach SSD or try in another device first.
Although flash media do not really have mechanical (moving) parts inside, if already various permutations have not yielded much, then repeated power on - power off cycles too can be avoided.
Trying to reduce the chances of issues piling up is better.
It could be some internal bus call conflict too
or in some way, other hardware or software clashing with the bus priority hierarchy.
If data is crucial, then approaching the brand first is advisable.
If now you report the failure to the seller and/or the portal.. unless the issue is lodged as 'DoA' (dead on arrival) there are less chances of free replacement from the seller, with a new product.
For DoA, portals like Amazon always relied on the job-sjeet from the brand's service centre or its authorised service centre.
Instead of DoA (Dead on Arrival) or item not as per website description (meaning it is not new, not working, has scratches).. if by mistake also you raise a different issue or sone agent hastily raises the RoR (refund on return), dispute under a wrong category.. then you can kiss the free replacement good-bye.
Item is the same as ordered, but the website description said that it will be new, in perfect working condition and NOT dead.
If one convinces the customer care or the ECR agents like THAT.. then they can and would lock it under the reason 'item not as per website description' (from the drop-down options).
It also gives a bit of a face saving option, as it is a bit vahue and their risk management and risk monitoring softwares too go slow and let this pass on to human intervention, due to the ambiguity.
-It is not being detected in WD Utility.
-It is not visible in BIOS (in other laptop as well).
-I attached it in external USB case and attached USB case in the laptop. same issue occurring and becomes invisible in 10-20min.
-It is creating same issue occurring in other latptop as well.
-I attache other HDD in laptop in same internal port and it is working fine.
so now contacting Amazon and brand.
Always have an enclosure like this for such situations, put the ssd in it & connect to another pc/laptop. then use crystaldiskinfo free to check its health & post screenshot of crystaldiskinfo values here.
Thanks all for help.

Amazon accepted return and refund. 😄
Edit: As you all know It was non-returnable item but I convinced customer care on call
that I received defective SSD. so they arranged return and refund.
Buy crucial MX500 or samsung evo 870, the best 2.5" sata ssd currently available here. Both also comes with 5 years warranty.
