W.e.f. 1 Dec'24, accrual of Reward Points on Digital Gaming Platforms / Merchants will be discontinued for certain cards. Click here to know the list of applicable credit cards :

Transactions on Digital Gaming Platforms / Merchants shall be identified under Merchant Category Codes (MCC) 5816, 7993 and 7994, on best effort basis. The MCCs are defined by the network partners and are subject to change basis their discretion and such changes shall be implemented basis communication from the networks without any requirement for intimation / information to the customers.

Here we can see SBI devalued it because i think many who has SBI card are using it online on gaming sites and betting sites:) hence why this "minimal devaluation"
well as already discussed in past in that old post, SBI cashback is not mentioned
