in Amazon MacBook price was 52990 on 26th September from then it was continuously increasing and now 58990 only one time it good down to 57990, I have to buy this, now suggest me what to do next ? will i wait more or wait for the next sale like Diwali sale.

Around 50K would be the right price. Too old machine. Using it for the last two years and bought it for 62k that time.

I think it will come around 50k again for Diwali sale. anything above 50k doesn't make sense.

It's old, but still M1 is faster than M2, specifically for 8/256GB variant.

Somehow to me, the 50ish mark by Deepawali seems difficult.

If some super offers from banks, cards or Apple cobranded offers come then it is s different thing.

Sequoia, which is the current version of Mac OS is supported for macbooks of 2020 and after.

I feel M1 will support maybe one more OS update, not more than that.

Sequoia is supported on Apple silicon, M2, M3, M4 are the same architecture as M1 and minor upgrades. And Apple has tactfully decided to use ChatGPT for generative AI on the cloud instead of on-board. Hence unlike Windows ARM, Apple does not need to satisfy any high NLU requirements. I see M1 receiving updates for another 4-5 years, until 2028.
