Which is best in terms of absorption and least side effects ?
Price is a factor too but not a main factor.
Note- Asking because never took any supplement earlier so have zero knowledge on this , unable to fulfill the requirement through natural sources. Otherwise would visit the physician for a suggestion.

Vitamin D: gelatin capsule of D3 60k, take once a week for 1-2 months, then stop for 3 months. If the situation is very bad, injections are prescribed.
If you don't have enough Vit D, then the ingested calcium (through foods or supplements) will not be absorbed and will wash out urine and feces, making your bone and other organs weaker.
my d was at 38 and b12 was at 218, i was having severe hairloss from past few months
doctor suggested d3 60k in tonic form 1 bottle per week for 4 weeks. whch got my levels to 85 now
then b12 injection which costs 25rs. this is weekly once for 3 weeks. my levels gone to 865 now
Can you please share the tonic name? Also hair loss due to vitamin D or B12?
Between 10-15 units for different family members.
Not sure what the standard unit is but 28+ was written as sufficient in report.
B12 is around 300-350 levels, report says its in normal range, but felt its okay to find available option if required.
B12

D3
Take liquid shots or powder sachet of any brand with 60000 IU once a week
Is it a lot better than taking in tablet form?
any vegetarian medicine options for Vitamin D ?
Order from sayacare for cheap rate and it is government trusted.
If I am not wrong, you get these medicines at the best possible price in janaushadi kendras.
@androgame lmk once you finalize which one to buy
Bought the one from abbott that is mentioned above. Looking for more options on B12.
A friend had a bottle of amway's vit d , took that for the time being.
D3... Go for D-rise tablets... Once a week 8 weeks and then once a month for 4 months.
B12, injection dose is best i heard, recall that is also once a week or as prescribed
I had low b12 and iron levels and none of the available iron suited my digestive system, always had bloating, gas, indigestion after having. Started using oral melt strips from wellbeing nutrition and it worked out really well for me. No digestive issue now. Though it is costly so I switched b12 for wellbeing and iron oral melt from mumfer.
Will try,thanks.
Is it appropriate for immediate requirement or only for keeping it maintained ?
Why asking online? Ask your doctor to prescribe good working supplements.
Doctor didnt say anything specific , he said that you can go for any otc brand (cipla he mentioned).
So thought if some online brands are a better option , can pay a premium.
I am someone who has never even consumed paracetamol, so this is a bit of new place for me.

B12: Rhincobal Nasal Spray

At your level of vitamin levels it's not suggested to go for supplements & food + lifestyle changes can work
KINDLY TAKE a MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL ADVICE
OVER LONG TERM USAGE has it's own drawbacks.... Kindly check out clear Unbiased research
short term to medium term is acceptable if severe deficiency your reports doesn't indicate so
INDIANs by genetics have high melanin due to tropical climate evolutionary adaptation so exposure for UVB rays are required atleast 3 -5 hrs /week of exposure of atleast 40% of unmasked skin ( just search for skin area definition for burns to arrive @ 40% )
There are various ways for FOOD SOURCES but a very good source are ORGAN meats especially LIVER because almost all STORE VITAMIN D -B COMPLEX & few, servings /week can supplement severe deficiency but needs to measure for sustaining same
SEA FOOD especially Like Salmon are very good source
Red meat also has good source but better to stick to others
second choice for vegetarians are EGGS ( PLEASE READ before attacking for EGG considered as VEG)
EGGS we eat today are highly INDUSTRIAL ORIGIN where the main AIM is to keep the EGG UNFERTILIZED by keeping the COCK away from HEN & For all practical purposes YOU CAN'T HATCH A CHICK ( but home grown & free roam are certainly not the case)
if you are looking for not the above definition or Religious reasons there are still other ways
For Ex MUSHROOMS especially when exposed to few minutes of SUN before washing but post chopped (increase surface area) is good source of VITAMIN D2 but we need VITAMIN D3 but our body can assimilate & supplement it for severe deficiency.....
One more option is FORTIFIED FOODS which must be still avoided if possible
last option should be SUPPLEMENTS especially for non acute deficiency
BUT IF you consider all the above food under NON VEGETARIAN best luck to find supplements work at a good bio availability level & Vegetarian or Vegan because most supplements are from RED MEAT or atleast some NON VEG
UNFORTUNATELY PLANTS have different Evolutionary process so NO GOOD SOURCE is Still available.... Which can be assimilated for animals
Actually I only need for these summer months. My sun exposure is sufficient from October to March . But for the remaining 6 months it's not possible.
Regarding food, haven't eaten non veg ever . Eggs are fine but I feel feverish eating them. This is not due to religious reasons but j just dont like from within .
I am okay with supplements derived from non veg sources if there is no option available
I remember getting Vitamin D capsules for free on Dhani during Covid. I don't know where I lost them, now they might be expired. 😝
If you are really interested please go through NIH fact-sheet for Vitamin-D for health professional, more or less have all required details : https://ods.od.nih.gov/factsheets/VitaminD-Heal...
In general, The most bioavailable form of vitamin D supplement is vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol), raise blood levels fastest(https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC66...).
Take preferably with meal(else milk/fatty diet), during day as Vit D is fat soluble vitamin. Seems 60k capsules if deficiency for 1-2 month as recommended by doc. Post that can take 600 IU as RDA(might need to take more as bio-availability is less - 1000/2000 IU).
Personally, I take 60k for 1 month atleast twice a year as whenever I get checked if not taking I'm always deficient(pure veg diet, desk job - less/0 sun exposure). Rest I take Supradyn-daily skipping few days here and there as it has lower side RDA for complete vit+minerals profile. Can take becosules if only feel B-vits are reqd.
Please check all with doctor once before starting any regimen.
Kindly tell about natural source of B12 and calcium thru fruits and vegetables . Exclude milk and it's products
Why not supradyn for vitamin B12?
D3... Go for D-rise tablets... Once a week 8 weeks and then once a month for 4 months.
