Need Urgent Help! Lost my Redmi phone in the train.

Today morning my Redmi phone was stolen from my pocket while sleeping in the train just 2 hours before it reached the destination. My phone was switched off when I tried to call from other phone. I didn't store my IMEI number. I could not complain to the railway police or the TT as I couldn't find them in the train. When I reached home I found my MI account password changed. I immediately changed my password. I also changed my Google password. I need your help to provide  the following information:

Can I get my SIM card from any mobile shop or only in the Jio store?

How to take steps to prevent misuse of my device?

Please suggest 5G mobile under 20K.

Thanks in advance!

exactly, could understand the loss but the aftermath is worse if you don't quickly block the sim and register a FIR as one my friends lost his phone and for 2 days he was trying to see where he missed and unfortunately for him, cops had his door knocking as his sim was used for some illegal activity itseems and for some time they couldn't believe his statement (phone was lost), so forget the phone retrieval options for now and quickly block your sim and raise FIR (atleast with the available details as could see you don't have the IMEI)

@FlightTrainHotelVisa It doesn't matter which class it is(unless first class & even there no 100% guarantee), always keep your mobile with you in such a place that it is not possible to take it without alerting you. When sleeping then place it in such a position that it is not possible to take it out without disturbing your sleep.

Block your Jio number ASAP. OTP is delivered to the registered email address. It's a pretty quick process.

  1. Block your SIM immediately and file an FIR. In 2-3 days of FIR, phone's IMEIs will be forwarded to cybercrime division for tracking/ tracing.
  2. About Duplicate SIM, it can only be done at official companies' stores only. You don't need FIR for duplicate SIM. You can just visit the store and ask for duplicate sim. Make sure you carry your valid identity documents.

Just get a duplicate SIM ASAP; aadhar is enough.

If your data is sensitive, go to findmy device and erase the data and then get a new sim; getting a new SIM will automatically block old sim.

No need of FIR and police willnever file FIR for a stolen mobile.  CEIR or such a smilar local website available, you can fill the details therer as well.

First of all, shame on the thief who stole phone from @sriram (Sri Ram)

Second thing nobody seems to ask how did the thief know the password of the phone?

After turning on or reboot password is necessary. If they had wiped the phone and factory reset it how did they access your mi account?!

Just lodge FIR with single IMEI

go to jio store and say u want to replace the sim as it's broken and take new sim with aadhar card

25rs charge for new sim

Go to ceir just for formality and block your imei number

Same case happened with me, only difference is mobile brand, my mobile was Samsung.

I realized below steps to follow if you lose your mobile

1. Block your simcard by visiting nearest network provider Gallery (they just asked original adhar). Your new simcard will be activated immediately except SMS services,it needed 24hrs to activate.

2.Recall your Gmail password and try to login via other device and check the last location of your mobile access or activated location.

3. As I am using Samsung mobile, I can tracked the registered devices via Samsung account login but you need SMS token to login (this you can track post 24hrs of new simcard)

4. File a case to railway police portal, you can also a complaint to local police

Both are same phones . M34 is sold on Amazon and F34 is sold on Flipkart. I do not know why people are laughing, you can ask them directly.

They are not bad phones for price range of 15-18k. If you looking for phone in budget of 15-18k then get any of these.
