Is it the correct time to invest?
Just asking, not questioning your advice
you have bought the complete market itself, no need to worry
FYI, this is not the way, you should do the investment.
In my opinion "averaging is your friend" dont worry about already invested fund (AS INVESTMENT MEANS HORIZON IS LONG),
its all subjective:) since you are confident in the MF's already you hold, dont need to worry about anything
just procure more NEW MONEY for averaging (this is very important)
so as long as you earn more, you dont have to worry about market going anywhere or stagnant or down:)
just keep doing this process, dont look at profits or loss REGULARLY
BECAUSE LOOKING AT PROFITS WILL MAKE YOU GREEDY
LOOKING AT LOSS WILL MAKE YOU SCARY
Main things to follow
1) just keep this process up of regular investing,
2) earn NEW money to invest always / average always (dont sell and reinvest and "call it averaging or balancing", bring new money if you want to do anything)
P.S: This is how i do my investing:) btw i am not SEBI registered or anywhere registered:) just believe in yourself and play this supply demand game:) SO OVERALL DECISION IS ALWAYS YOURS, what I said above is all my personal opinion
Since how long were you doing SIP in the above funds?
Sab upar hi jayega..agar long terms hai to.. btw you need max 4-6 max 10 .. baki kisi ki aisi aukat nahi jo bata de kaun kaisa performance dega in future.. mf hai to sip for long term .. baki mat socho..
I do lumpsum on 10% index crash from all time high instead of SIP... yes, cut exposure/sell off psu funds when on high, motilal mid cap is a good fund for core portfolio, so is quant small cap, keep small exposure (20%) to thematic funds (link quant infrastructure)... as for the kids, you have a long time horizon, so mid small caps is a good choice...
Do LTCG harvesting of 1.25L profits every year and reinvest in above strategy every year...
Invest in Motilal Mid Cap not sure how it will perform next year this year it is top performer
