Dimers, I'm looking to buy a water purifier with UV & UF, but NOT RO, as 24x7 municipal water is present, with TDS < 150.
I'm not looking for gimmicks like alkaline etc. Just a purifier which does its work properly.
Nearly every brand I see on Amazon, their reviews say they've pathetic service, and some brands like AO Smith etc even force to buy 4 year AMC.
So please provide your suggestions based on your experience on which brand to choose for, or if you've had good service experience. My city is Pune.
Please also mention your city.

AMC or maintenance cost please.
I have been using AO Smith UV+UF purifier for last 4 years. Good service. They have not forced to buy AMC. But buying AMC comes cheaper as it is needed to change filters every year.
super... which city bro? And I think there are 2-3 filters in the purifier, so which all need to be changed every year? Or do all of them need to be changed every year including uv & uf too?
my feedback is for RO though - earlier was using Kent and it always ended up in some or other repair/filter/parts change every 6months and later switched to Mi Water Purifier in 2019 and using it till now and its the best (for me atleast) as my borewell TDS is around 450-650ppm and filtered water is around 30-50ppm, filters lasts for 14-15months and monthly usage is around 250L, has the app which is very simple and user friendly where you can monitor TDS and filters health. All three filters come around 4500Rs for 15months usage which is way way better than Kent

Unfortunately, Xiaomi have stopped selling it in India now and even the filters and my current one have around 40% health left and thinking of going with Urban Company M2 next year
No company forces to buy AMC. I use LG. But consider LG only if you want to buy AMC as the filters are expensive without AMC. All companies work that way but LG is expensive.
@atx88 , exactly looking for as i have municipal water with tds between 120-180. Looking for electric uv purifier and not gravity based purifier.
Only thing minimal or no maintenance costs. I used to have pureit ( gravity based) and the candles used to cost me 999. 5yrs back and used to last between 6-8 months.
Vu.
Edit:
This is the kit cost now
Third class service by Kent. The installation guy Refused to install RO without buying Kent prefilter costing 1200. Says without this we won't give the warranty of the purifier.
And later even refused to install when I was ok with it.
And as per him warranty won't void if we don't install any pre-filter at all.
Peore... Research abt it . Using ut since 1.5 years
@atx88 -- Pune? Go for Eureka Forbes Aquaguard. Service is good. I have following model and no issues till date. Its been ~4 years now.

You may go for the entry level UV+UF variant.
Location Kolkata - Kent Maxx used for the past 3 years No issue till now, I started doing maintenance on my own from this year onwards.
Once a year we have to change the carbon filter, that can be done easily by yourself. Modular design. Easy to repair.
I read in some comments that the lid is not proper and some insects go inside the container. But I have not faced any problems like this. The water bucket is removable and easy to clean.
Also AMC per year cost any idea?
@atx88 Without any gimmics and unnecessary clutter there is a water filter. It's Aquaguard Sure Delight NXT only suitable for Municipal water < 200 TDS. Check once. 🏻
How is UC Native M1? Anyone used it?
