I am already holding the Infinia LTF free and Amex platinum travel LTF so far. now today i got email from amex below -
to upgrade to platinum reserve -i am high spender - will it make any sense if i upgrade - technically if i see i am getting
5k Taj + 11k Points + 3k Flipkart voucher = on spending 150000 in next 90days - by paying 11800 annual fee including GST

This is beyond my pay grade. I am 40 yrs old, live in Mumbai but have yet to pay out of my own pocket at a Taj, Trident or ITC here. Heck...advertising Taj, ITC, Marriott in the benefits of a card is almost like a turn-off for me!
Coming to the point, AmEx's high-end cards and a dimer don't mix well. Dimers inherently look for value and I am afraid to say AmEx's high-end cards don't seem to offer much value for money. Their expertise is in their concierge services which are typically used by people who don't care about value that much.

This is a lifestyle card which used to be a complementary companion card for Platinum charge and only useful if you regularly use Accor/Taj. If you intend to make use of these complementary memberships, then you can take it as it would be effectively free for first year given the joining benefits. In terms of rewards, Platinum travel is much better
