@shekhar89513 In Iran too, phone numbers are of ten digits.
I have acquaintances, friends too in Iran.. whose +98 numbers are of ten digits.
Mostly such EPABX (Electronic Private Automatic Branch Exchange) or caller ID spoofing issues could be due to wrongly setting up their internal software.
Their: as in.. the company or vendor who is providing the BPO services and support infrastructure.
In the past, I myself have got calls from +180030009009 but obviously the call was from Amazon India itself.
(Back then, Amazon had numbers starting with 18003000×××× for customers to call).
Someone set that number up as the default number to be shown to the customer when Amazon agents at some sites were calling the customer back.
People also set up.. illegal private telephone exchange to avoid paying heavy interconnect charges.. especially for international calls.
In such cases too, the actual call from outside India.. first lands to a specified number or an illegal private telephone exchange and then the call recipient/ local telecom operator is shown that a local number is calling.
DoT [Department of Telcom) has time and again educated consumers to report such things to them.
One can do so by visiting https://sancharsaathi.gov.in/InternationalCall/ReportIntCall.jsp or even by calling ☎️1963📞 them ☎️1800110420📞.
For your own peace of mind, @shekhar89513 you can report it to both TRAI and DoT.
And of-course ☎1930📞 [https://cybercrime.gov.in is always there🙂. [Although in this case, reporting to DoT is enough.]
