One option I am considering is DBS Bank Savings account where the interest rate is 7%. Any other option ?

Check liquid/ultra short term/short term mutual funds
MF is the best option.... Saving account is just a rebranding of current account
best would be Small Finance Banks where we have 12 SFBs regulated by RBI and all are insured by DICGC up to 5L
go for indusdind fd 7.85% for 1.5 years....
If you have kotak 811 account, You can activate activmoney(sweep deposit) like @sauron1813 said. When your savings balance goes above 25k, the rest is swept into an fd and earns 7% p.a.
Or you can just make a fd for 6 months @ 7% p.a. you can break it without any penalties.
If you go with the dbs route, you will only earn 7% p.a. on 1 lakh.
If you hadn't looked into AU bank savings rate, that might interest you.
If it were me, I'll split the money into four and make fd's for tenure of 6 months in kotak. That way If needed, I can break fd's for only the amount I need without any charges and earn @ 7% p.a. all the while.
U can invest in digiportfolio mutual fund.
Liquid fund better with 7% rate and no penalty on redemption
Could you please suggest some?
What I see is most of the liquid funds have 6-7% rate of interest.
i think it is slab wise so you will get around 4-5% in savings. better go for Bandhan/au where saving interest is higher.
make multiple small fd on paytm break them whenever needed
Paytm FD upto 7.5% interest.
1. Can withdraw anytime without any penalty.
2. Can withdraw either partial or full amount.
3. Can directly pay via UPI from FD balance.
Need to open paytm saving account also right ?
Does Paytm allows to withdraw FD anytime? Will I get interest if I withdraw it mid way.
As I mentioned earlier, I want to invest somewhere where I can withdraw it within one week.
Better go for Airtel Payment Bank FD (with IndusId again) or IndusInd FD as some have suggested.
Thoug you will be needing APB account, but I think you can make IdusInd FD without account on their site.
Why go with liquid funds when other category fund are with low risk than liquid and better returns than liquid
Example: arbitrage funds
These funds have low risk while some liquid funds have low to moderate risk
Is this a slab wise rate or absolute rate?
