Struggle will be same in case of Amity, Parul, LPU and Manipal.
I am actually surprised to see the level of knowledge people have ...who in their right mind even shortlist these colleges?
Your family gonna get regret after 4 years man
Better choose any college from Bengaluru or Southern Part of India if you are going to spent that much on a 4 year degree which doesn't even guarantees a career

Hello Friends,
My bro has just cleared his 12th and is in search of his college, he scored 70% in his state boards, and in jee some 75 percentile, state cet he didnt clear, now he is mostly left with private universities.
Universities like Amity, Parul, LPU, Manipal are some which we have shirtlisted, other than that there are tier 3 colleges but these colleges I have seen my friends struggling to find even a 25k monthly job. Everyone wants there children future to be secure, so i want to ensure we make the best decision.
The fees they charge come down to 40L for 4 years approx, for a middle class family that's a nightmare but still with education loan and all we will manage it somehow of that's what it takes. But is it worth it, is there a better uni which you know of, do you know any red flags in amity and others, please share your valuable opinion. Thanks

Agreed, but these advt are well targeted, I have seen my friends pay zero fees in southern india and have a college, just paid hostel fees but what now, they don't have a job, the only question is will these colleges guarantee a better job than others, say if I take amity, the emi that comes over my sibling will be around 40k a month, will there be earning differential of atleast that amount when he gets placed. If not what's the next best option left now, like if not tier 3 college, if not amity parul and all then can you suggest any other uni which takes not based on 12th score but on an entrance test which due date is not passed, like you suggested for South India
In these , Manipal is way better ,it's CS-Mech labs are quite good . Others:
(high fees -high edu) BITS (But it's paper are over now)
(high fees -good edu) RV,PES ,Manipal
Rest are not worth 14L fees as they have same policy : spend more on Advertise than study.,take 5000 students and take credit of the hardworkers .
Thanks, if you have any other uni in mind then do suggest that too

And those who expect their family, to make decisions for them in choosing a college often end up wasting the college fees paid on their behalf.
I've seen friends who spent a significant amount of money educating their younger siblings, only to financially struggle to provide their own children with a decent education. The siblings won't or cannot afford to return this money what the elder bro spend for them.
This "we" concept is short lived, soon it becomes I, you, me and me wife, etc.
(Just a Suggestion) Better do, B.SC or B.A in any science related subject like Geography, Physics, etc. in such a college where attendance is not mandatory and don't go to college, just go for exams. Join IAS coaching and Bank + SSC coaching instead of wasting years in B.tech. and spend less money and more energy on securing Job Career from right now. (Just a Suggestion)
Amity, Parul, LPU, Manipal,Symbiosis etc are all shops where students are treated as consumers. The worst is LPU.

Just bumping as it's really a big decision to make, and have absolutely no knowledge
He wants to get into cse, he is really good in computer languages, have made some websites, games and all. He is above average in all that, but in studies he is behind
For the 40L+ spent on a bachelor's degree in some pvt university your brother would be better off spending the same money on getting a masters. That will open a lot of avenues. Maybe he will want to go into teaching or R&D or post grad research. All those definitely require a Masters degree at the very least. There are integrated Masters courses that he can look into.
There are universities in Europe that charge zero fees (but have to spend on room and board and food of course). Dont go to an agent who might push him down the wrong path for greed of commission. Go to reddit and other free resources that provide clear and truthful info.
Good luck!

@mahimamehta964605 - What's the end goal here? What field your brother wants to get into? And what kind of job is expected?
This is the most important but sadly seldom asked question (at least in India). A lot of students do not decide on career goals and just go with the crowd and then end up regretting the field (and the fees)
